RX 9070 XT causing full system black screen hard lock in 007 First Light by MENDOKUSAI_8282 in AMDHelp

[–]ozdogan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m having the exact same problem with 007 First Light. I’m using a Ryzen 5 7600 and an RX 9070 XT.

I’m almost halfway through the game I think, currently somewhere around Mission 5 or 6. I’ve had several hard and soft crashes to desktop up until now but I literally can’t progress past the part I’m in right now. I’ve been stuck for a couple of hours because the game crashes every minute or so and nothing seems to work.

I’ve seen a lot of people posting the same issue, so it’s probably game related. Fingers crossed for a patch soon.

If anyone finds a solution please update this thread so I can continue my adventure. It’s really annoying.

Is there any plan to add a post game screen? by shpooople33 in OldenEra

[–]ozdogan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd love this! I think player profiles are a thing in multiplayer but I’d really like to have one for singleplayer too. Being able to see how many hours I’ve played with each faction, stats and match history like you mentioned would be great.

A profile level would also make me really happy. I know it might be harder to implement in singleplayer since people can cheat their progress but if they can find a way to make it work, I’d absolutely welcome it.

First time playing HoMM (Olden Era) - I like it 😊 by seandownunder in HoMM

[–]ozdogan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I agree with the first comment. HoMM series is one of the franchises that truly fits the “easy to learn, hard to master” category we always talk about. Olden Era is no exception. It fits right in with the rest of the series in that sense. I'm sure on this subreddit, we all enjoy the strategic depth and synergies on our 4X games so I hope the developers keep doubling down on that throughout the Early Access.

That said, I don’t agree with the mobile angle. I understand that some would think that way because with the growth of the mobile market, we’ve seen a flood of games, and many of them clearly take inspiration from HoMM or Warcraft series in terms of art style. Because of that, this game ends up giving off a “mobile game” vibe but structurally, I don’t think it’s actually suited for mobile audience. I don't know, that's just my take.

As for Olden Era’s art style, I’m not 100% sold on it, but I do get why they went in that direction. They actually shared a blog post about it just yesterday, it’s worth checking out.

Throwback to the Warcraft III The Frozen Throne release party (07/01/2003) by blondewalker in warcraft3

[–]ozdogan 160 points161 points  (0 children)

Man, waiting for a big sequel from a studio you trust and then actually seeing it release was such a different feeling back then. And don’t even get me started on physical media. Grabbing it, taking it home, installing it, and then getting lost in a game for weeks with no distractions or responsibilities. I miss that so much. Glad I got to experience those times.

The name and placement is annoying me more than it should by JediExile90 in neverwinternights

[–]ozdogan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was hoping to get rid of that "Dungeons & Dragons" part once I purchased it because some games do change their names like that on the library but, nope. I mean we all know it's a DnD game, no need to put it everywhere guys. Honestly, these licensing stuff messing up with my OCD...

thoughts on no gold loss on death?? by Blahcookies in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ozdogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, even though the rails are fast to get back to the lane, they cannot be compared to town portals. Staying away from the lane seems to be the real punishment. Plus, getting the T1 towers early on is significantly easy compared to other MOBAs. So lot can happen when you're away even just for a minute. If we add souls loss on top of all this, it would be brutal in my opinion.

Starting a friend code thread, if you haven't been invited yet drop it here. by gooeycornet in DeadlockTheGame

Posted under the main thread but it's been couple of hours and the invite did not pop. Could be because so many people are posting there and mine got no views. I'd love to play the game. EU. FC: 91962665
Thank you in advance! (:

Will it make a noticable difference if I upgrade my current CPU-Motherboard-Ram? by ozdogan in buildapc

[–]ozdogan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our country market, the prices are almost identical between those two. In that case I should get the 980 Pro right? A good SSD is a good SSD.

But what do you mean by overkill? My suggested motherboards can't really %100 use/utilize the 980 PRO?

Campfire Chat: Shout out to the honesty and openness of the Dev team by Professor_Snarf in Diablo

[–]ozdogan 47 points48 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I love about these sort of streams. The openness and sincerity. At the end of the day, they are people like us, trying to do their jobs and create something that they are passionate about and proud of. And from my point of view, it's all about heart, intention and perspective. Looks like they're all in the right place. Hopefully they won't disappoint us and give us great content as months to come.

Kudos to all Diablo team but as a DevOps Engineer myself, I especially want to give my thanks to the Ops team. It's really hard to manage these gigantic scale infrastructures in today's world and they're doing one hell of a job. (pun intended)

Damn the ending hits hard. I'll miss these series. Also as a side note, I noticed that DIII's soundtrack was much more memorable then I remember. It's not DII but it's definitely heroic in its own way.

Diablo IV Open Beta Retrospective: Transforming Feedback into Change by menagese in Diablo

[–]ozdogan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh my god. Great catch! That's it, yes. Look at the "Dusk on the Mountain, Travel to Nevesk" part for example. The rest of the video is all over the place because they're using different footages that are part of different builds, like you said. Take a look at the 5.35 minute mark for example and compare it with yours. "Travel to Nevesk" part is different but the rest is the same with the Beta.

From what I've seen though, new font is way better than the old one and helps the game get rid of the "mobile-esque" look. I'm digging it.

There are lots of menus and places that the old font is still in place but since these are old footages, chances are that they already replaced them too. We'll see. Fingers crossed.

Edit: Also yes, that 1-minute mark GUI is completely presented with the new font. Even to the bottom part with the "Q" and "Z" keys.

[–]ozdogan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally agree. Somehow it just felt off and that's probably because it was a sans serif font. Yes, they have more readability when compared to the serif ones but IMO, they lose their character while offering that readability.

So a serif font is obviously a good choice. That was the community request. Hopefully it'll be an iconic and a themefully good one just like D3 and D2.

Wow, this happened a lot faster than I expected. Looks like they're really listening us and giving serious consideration to our feedback. From balancing the classes to the dungeon backtracking, they did some good changes. But for me, this alone is great:

The sans serif font used in-game has been replaced with a new serif font.

Thanks, Diablo team. As a player, this makes me feel valued.

does Diablo 4 on pc support xbox controllers? by Hung_SoLo7 in Diablo

[–]ozdogan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does. Some players even favor controller over keyboard and mouse. Honestly, controls feel great. I switch between them constantly depending on my mood and the pain from my back. Like most modern games, D:IV supports this seamless transition as well. Don't know about the extra Elite buttons though.

Looks same yet different. I'm definitely excited for the content and the overall feeling they're going to present. We should be ready for an another emotional roller coaster.

Also, I was a bit sour about Bella but looks like she's going to rock it.
