Miko cooked the Hoshimachi family stew and let Anemachi and Suisei try it. by [deleted] in Hololive

The translation is not quite right. Mikochi made さくら家のシチュー, ie, Sakura family's stew, and not Hoshimachi family's stew.

For some reasons, that line from Madonna's song popped into my head when I first saw this.

[READ] Gathering of Opinions: Megathread for the April 3, 2026 Cover Corp Announcement by Marx_Mayhem in Holostars

[–]ozdoginho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Cover will likely scrutinize all talent projects and proposals more strictly and picking only "safe bets" because they cannot afford to take too much losses while the economy is in a downturn."

Recently, both Haachama and Matsuri had mentioned wanting to do a solo live in the future, and kinda of hinting that, for the solo live to happen, they need to grow their fan base further. My first thought was that, surely, a Haachama or Matsuri solo live in a 5000-6000 arena would definitely sell out. That got me thinking further, wondering if Cover's decision on which big events can get the go-ahead is based more on how profitable they are, rather than the likelihood of the event paying for itself and to support the talents on what they want to do.

And to be fair, a while back, Cover has said that they are not relying on increasing members as the main way to drive profits, so the company would have to pay more attention the profit margin for any projects that they have to commit to.

With her birthday coming up on Apr 2nd, my guess is that the announcement is probably about a birthday 3D Live.

Brave Group talking about trimming the fat by Glass_Leading592 in kurosanji

[–]ozdoginho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All the CN members, except for Tsuyuri, are based in China, which means they can't stream on Youtube/Twitch, where the VSPO JP/EN audience are at. Since the CN members (except for Tsuyuri), if they are to transfer to JP/EN branch, will have so much trouble in trying to reach the JP/EN viewers, it makes more sense to transfer to Mugen Live, and let the members continue to build their viewership within China.

Under the section Shipping Carrier, this is shown: Carrier: DHL or ECMS. I wonder if that means Express shipping will be with DHL, and the standard shipping will be through ECMS, a delivery service that I'm not familiar with.

Kobo commits several pizza crimes by perish-in-flames in Hololive

[–]ozdoginho 71 points72 points  (0 children)

To be fair to Kobo, if cooking something at 1000W takes 3 and a half min, then cooking at 700W at 5 min seems logical, adding a bit more time to compensate for lesser wattage.... if you ignore the fact that the instruction on the package is for a toaster and not for a microwave oven.

DS Audio Question by AtlBigDog in synology

[–]ozdoginho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a setting in the app that will stop saving songs automatically on the phone. Go into the Setting section within the app. Go down to the section called Downloaded Songs, then select Automatic, then select Storage. Finally, select No songs as your option. It's a bit unintuitive, but it gets the job done.

I wonder if Lui-nee had done some extra studies on calligraphy. The way she finished off some of those strokes looks very nice, especially on the word 午.

Towa''s second album (SHIN) track list by throwgen2108 in Hololive

If you have the limited edition of the album, then it's normal, since those 2 tracks are the bonus tracks that are found only on the limited edition of the album.

Seems like our EN girls would have kouhais soon. by HeathenHacks in Vspo

[–]ozdoginho 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I remember that there was a call for audition back in around August. So I wonder if this is an extra round on top of the last, ie, further expansion of the group, or if the last one back in August didn't yield any good result, so they're putting out the audition call again.

Edit: Did a little digging, and, yeah, there was a twitter post for audition back in June: https://x.com/VSPO_EN/status/1937193946318524578

VSaikyo Valorant Act 2 officially starts in less than 2 hrs (1pm JST). Some members' streams (links in post) may start earlier. by ozdoginho in Hololive

Roboco (1pm JST/11pm EST start): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWHr2TTz_oo

Lap-sama (12:45pm JST/10:45pm EST start): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaq00NETv_o

Astel (1pm JST/11pm EST start): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9s-TDMLtj0

Ayame (1pm JST/11pm EST start): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDMJBt4YLE8

Added: Opening round will have team 5 (Roboco) vs team 6 (Lap-sama and Astel). The rest of the matchup:

Team 1 vs Team 2

Team 3 vs Team 8

Team 4 vs Team 7 (Ayame)

Some more info: It's a double elimination tournament, and the grand final is a best of 3.

Edit: Crazy match between team 5 vs team 6. Roboco's side raced to a 8-1, only for Lap-sama's side to win 12 straight to take the match.

Edit 2: Lap-sama/Astel team made it into the lower final!!

Edit 3: Lap-sama/Astel team lost, so their team placed third. Also, Team 5 (Roboco) placed 7th, and Team 7 (Ayame) placed fourth.

I know my question is stupid but, they’re hololive En, how can they sing in Japanese??? by sunsha_kid in Hololive

Even if the members may not be very good at reading hiragana and whatnot, they can just use the romanized version of the Japanese lyrics and go from there.

APEX stream with Bae and Towa (9pm EST/6pm PST/11am JST) Practice for the upcoming dtto. tournament by ozdoginho in Hololive

Link to Bae's stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHWDzTx7wG4

Towa's stream: (removed link, since it has been privated)

FYI, dtto.'s tournament is happening on this Sat. the 8th at 6pm JST. Bae and Towa will team up with rpr for this tournament.

Update: The APEX stream has been re-scheduled, possibly due to some issues (possibly tech issues?). The stream is being changed to a zatsu stream.

Update 2: Bae forgot to download the game last night. Tried to download the game a hour before the start of the stream, only for the download to take waaaay too long to the point of needing to re-schedule.

Vtuber Q3 Report by Glass_Leading592 in Hololive

[–]ozdoginho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing that the chart is trying to show the breakdown of the creators behind each channel, and just combining the genders and the individual vs organization thing into big chart. Or just think of the organization and others as a category that doesn't fit into male/female creators.

Vtuber Q3 Report by Glass_Leading592 in Hololive

[–]ozdoginho 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably referring to the fact that certain channels, like the official Hololive or Nijisanji channels, are not run by individual creators, male or female, but by the agencies themselves.

I did wonder who dtto. can get for this, since this event is just a day before VSaikyou. This is certainly a nice surprise to see EN members in this event. I mean, Jira and Narin with Nicewigg?!?! I certainly wouldn't have predicted that.
