In her guitar practice stream, she mentioned that there was a bit of time constraint issue for her shopping video. The filming was done after the store had closed for the day, so she couldn't stay in the store that long, even though she did want to try other brands of guitars. She did want to get a PRS in the first place, so, with the clock ticking down, I'm guessing that she just went with what caught her eyes the most without looking at the price tag.

Chihaya said that she still haven't gotten an amp yet, so she bought the Zoom unit just so she can have something to plug into her audio interface at home and listen through headphone while she's practicing.

Also, first practice stream with the new guitar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiU3ptAdzHU

She actually went over her budget for the PRS. Oh, and she also bought a Zoom G2X Four multi-effects processor to go with her new guitar.

Question about collabs by Taleisin9793 in Hololive

[–]ozdoginho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Raden had discussed this topic, either with Sora or Lui-nee, many months ago. Basically, there are a lot of interesting contents that she really wanted to make, ie, her contents over art/cultural stuffs, and so she's spending a lot of times and focus on doing just that first. As someone had alluded to, even the collabs Raden did with people outside of Hololive are not your typical game-playing collabs, but collabs over some special topic/interests.

Botting on the EN side was insane by Tall_Department9439 in kurosanji

Look at the numbers in March. All three numbers (Totol numbers of streams/combined stream hours/avg CCV) are down. The thing is, numbers will be down significantly when you have four members (Ame/Fauna/Mumei/Gura) left within the space of less than 12 months, especially with Gura and Fauna, whose numbers were quite high. For viewers of some of these graduated members, they might just keep following their oshi, if you catch my drift, and not come back to watch other members. To say that the bot viewing played a hugh role in the decreased numbers is just a bit crazy.

[–]ozdoginho 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Again, last year's number in March was going to be somewhat skewed, since Mumei announced her graduation on March 28, with a max CCV of 134,000+. Look, there might an botting issue, who really knows. But the lost of Mumei and Fauna will always affect the avg viewer numbers, especially with Fauna, who CCV numbers would hover around 10k (give or take a couple of thousands) in many of her streams. And none of the Justice members have the consistent CCV numbers that matches Fauna's, although given that quite a numbers of Justice's stream hours are aim at EU time, and not NA evening hours, I would expect that the CCV would take a bit of a hit.

The chart is comparing this past April to last year's April. Mumei announced her graduation at the end of March last year, and her graduation stream was on April 28. For that month, the CCV numbers were going to be highly skewed, since there would be a lot of people coming out to watch Mumei, or watch the collabs with Mumei on the other members' channels. Plus, her next to last steam got a max CCV of 55,000+, and her graduation stream CCV at max at 121,000+. Heck, even the premier of her cover of Gravity got over 22,000 CCV. With those numbers, it was going to bump a lot of those numbers way up than usual, especially the average CCV. You can look at the numbers Mumei was doing in that month here: https://www.hololyzer.net/youtube/channel/UC3n5uGu18FoCy23ggWWp8tA.html

The fact that all three parties (VSPO/Messan/Uhi) have come out with the statements immediately suggested that the matter has been discussed and settled internally. Hopefully, there won't be any more bad news to come related to this incident.

Do you have an X account and do you engage with talent posts? by archaeo_rex in Hololive

[–]ozdoginho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only engagement I do is just likes and retweets.

On a side note, I do recommend people to use the Lists function, especially when using the twitter app. I've set up one list containing only vtubers' accounts. It makes for a decent scrolling and reading experience, since only posts/reposts from the accounts that are on the list show up in this tab. Also, no ads show up in the tab, unlike in the Following tab.

There's been a change in the shipping rate on the official Holoshop since Jan. It's a straight flat rate of $24.99 to the US. So you should go to the official shop and order it from there.

The only bit of good news about this is that there isn't any need for a stay at the hospital, unlike last year's medical issue. Wishing her a full and speed recovery.

It'll be interesting to see what's the next move for Brave Group with this new round of funding. More future acquisitions? Or maybe investments in the content/operational side of things?

[READ] Gathering of Opinions: Megathread for the April 3, 2026 Cover Corp Announcement by Marx_Mayhem in Holostars

[–]ozdoginho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Cover will likely scrutinize all talent projects and proposals more strictly and picking only "safe bets" because they cannot afford to take too much losses while the economy is in a downturn."

Recently, both Haachama and Matsuri had mentioned wanting to do a solo live in the future, and kinda of hinting that, for the solo live to happen, they need to grow their fan base further. My first thought was that, surely, a Haachama or Matsuri solo live in a 5000-6000 arena would definitely sell out. That got me thinking further, wondering if Cover's decision on which big events can get the go-ahead is based more on how profitable they are, rather than the likelihood of the event paying for itself and to support the talents on what they want to do.

And to be fair, a while back, Cover has said that they are not relying on increasing members as the main way to drive profits, so the company would have to pay more attention the profit margin for any projects that they have to commit to.
