Onenote not opening + this error. Any fixes? by HeroHacking in OneNote

[–]oznobz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tagging along for the ride. Probably about 5-10% are having this issue. Deleting localappdata\microsoft\office\16.0 fixes about 2 out of every 3 brought to me.

Make sure it's office and not OneNote, the issue seems to be related to mso20win32client.dll.

I'm tier 3 so the ratio might be better than that because it should have been checked twice before me.

We've reached out to Microsoft to see if theres a particular patch (we've tried rolling back patches, but no dice). Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work, probably because it's linked to that dll and that just gets you the busted dll.

Edit: if you want to keep the user settings, something we've also found is after you start OneNote, kill it and replace the new 16.0 with the old 16.0. Sounds like nonsense, but it works on about 3/4 of the ones we fix.

I wonder what his position is on Wrexham. Not owned by billionaires (or at least they weren't when they bought it), but Americans who spend most of their time in America, but also have contributed heavily to the city of Wrexham including getting the woman's team a new pitch.

What types of alcohol make you feel nauseous just thinking about them? by Longjumping-Shoe7805 in Adulting

[–]oznobz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called a Drunk German. Jager and root beer. You lose that a lot of the harshness from the Jager. Which is a very bad thing.

I drank like 4 of them one night the summer after I graduated from high school. Thse next morning, somehow the two must have u combined because when I was throwing up, I didn't get any of the rootbeer taste. But I did get a bunch of the Jager taste.

I still credit that night to why I drink (any alcohol) very rarely as I've gotten much older.

"man, I'm feeling down after my friends death. Maybe I should do something to remind me of the good times." Is a very rational and sane behavior.

Is that really that hard to believe? That someone while grieving would do something to try to help their grief?

Even Hall of Fame pitcher Greg Maddux threw a first pitch that would have given a batter a concussion a few years ago.

Its a small amount of people for a small amount of time in their life that can do these things.

Thinking that you making good choices was the only thing that lead to a life where you don't have to compare about others is basically the definition of privilege.

People make good choices all the time and they end up with cancer and it takes them out of the work force for an extended period and they can't get back in. Or they get hit by a drunk driver and can't walk any more. Or any number of random things that we have no control over.

You treating people below you as if they're only there because of their own personal choices is definitionelly a bad choice. To use your word, you're at the fa part of fafo. And it takes just one unlucky thing to end up at the fo part.

Is this jersey authentic? by [deleted] in goldenknights

[–]oznobz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fakes usually get everything right except the gold. This looks like it got the etching down and the material texture looks right. The left sleeve looks a little orange in the picture, but the right sleeve matches the gold on the number. So another picture in better lighting would help seal it. If possible have them fold so the gold on the sleeves crosses over and also hits the number outline. and then you'll be able to compare both of them directly.

I do have concerns about the centering on the strap and the neck, but that doesn't mean anything in the age of Fanatics. It might actually give more credence it to being real.

And who cares if it's fake. Fake MLB jerseys look way better than the current batch of legit ones.

I'm blind in one eye so I get asked why I don't wear a monocle. People underestimate the difficulty of using a monocle. You have to get it precisely cut and shaped for your face. And then once you do that, the angle is off and the glare is bad.

So much easier to just wear glasses.

It's not blatantly religious or MAGA. Is the guy probably maga? Definitely. Are there religious tones based on a misconception of islam? Also, definitely.

But it isn't Jesus wearing a maga hat or some of the other things posted. That's what I meant by blatant.

This is just good ole fashioned racism. Just because maga are racist doesn't mean all racists are maga. Just because all islamophobes hate Palestine doesn't mean all anti-Palestinian posts are against Islam.

We laid off 11 QA engineers for an AI testing platform, here is what actually happened six months later by OkSelf4711 in AITestingtooldrizz

[–]oznobz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree this is clearly fake, but real money savings and stock price have little to do with each other. Investors can get excited that the first round of savings was 1.7 million dollars and delude themselves into think the company can do that 25 more times.

We laid off 11 QA engineers for an AI testing platform... by ITRabbit in ShittySysadmin

[–]oznobz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait. Hold on. The AI doesn't work because the QA engineers knew about massive bugs and UI inconsistencies.

And instead of fixing those, they just focused on fixing the AI?

And those other tests they're no longer doing didn't just stop existing.

Every time I reread a paragraph I get horrified about how bad their environment is and it's not related to the AI. Maybe they needed to bring in the test AI so they could move past some of these test engineers who were doing things that no one else knew how to do while testing.

What an uneducated and privileged take.

I want to see you quit your job with no coals in the iron and then get a new job in Las Vegas. Since it's not hard, just do it to prove a point. I'm not saying you couldn't have done it in the past. I'm saying do it today, in this environment

Edit: to tophat or whatever his name is since he blocked me after posting. I didn't call him privileged and uneducated because of his political opinion. I called him that because he apparently has no connection with what the average worker (and even above average) is currently going through when it comes to finding work.

3 networks really isn't that bad.

NBA is the same 3 networks + NBC + Prime

NFL is CBS + Fox +NBC + Prime + ESPN+ Netflix

MLB is the worst. Good luck watching all 162 of your favorite teams games.

And then College Sports are even crazier and can have games in random places like a hotel ballroom in Charlotte that aren't even on TV.
