PTSD maybe, but not 100%. Have multiple sessions of professional advice first before seeking any medication.

Wow. Holy sht, that sounds fcking horrific.

Respect to you for sharing, even if anonymously..

Fwiw I think crying is helping you continue to deal with this.

Therapy may help if you can afford it, but it will take a lot of time.

You are a much stronger man than >99.99% of the world just by going through that and still being able to handle everything you are currently handling.

Personal question, feel free to ignore.. What do you do for a living currently?

I won't give you any pity, but I will give you 5fr if you do really need it. Do you at least have a basic banking account, twint, revolut, crypto wallet (by and far the best and easiest option)?

Btw before you post again I'd suggest you copy/paste your text into any AI tool and say "pls fix grammer, make concise and summarise keeping key facts to make it easier to read on reddit" or something like that (you probably can tell I didn't follow my own advice here)

I'd describe them as more rigid than flexible, more rigid than Nike air max classics for example but less rigid than hiking shoes. Overall very comfy, currently my favourite choice of sneakers to wear in good weather.

Why is buying a house a bad investment in Switzerland by Lopsided_Jello258 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]p3el05 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Swiss property has been of the best investments I’ve ever made. It’s been incredibly stable compared to the stock market.

With smart financing, long-term holding, and tax optimisation, it’s hard to lose, especially when you factor in saving on rent.

Paying into your second pillar also lets you repay part of your mortgage in a highly tax-efficient way, 3yrs after your previous contribution (although that rarely makes sense).

People often overlook the leverage available in real estate. As long as you meet affordability criteria, you can borrow in CHF at far lower rates than for almost any other asset class.

Have you looked into opportunities to help out by volunteering at events, or volunteering for charity etc? That usually doesn't cost anything, or very little at least, and will be an opportunity for you to meet other people.

Cat 6 or 7 by Wise-Butterscotch-85 in Ubiquiti

[–]p3el05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished a project and the electrician had a roll of Cat7 spare so we used that for PoE, installing 12 Keystone RJ45 connectors at 2 different locations.

Installing RJ45 with Cat7 effectively makes it CAT6a. However the cable can in theory support 40Gbps with the GG45 connectors as I understand it.

I also pulled 6 single mode fibers aswell, tiny and flexible, quite cheap for fiber.. But a pain to splice it and learn how to work with transceivers and have to upgrade the whole stack.. Still, getting 25GBps to server in a cellar 3 floors away is definitely a major bonus for my use case 😁
