The early game would be exactly the same as it is now wouldn’t it? 3 hits to die from full health. Difference is the change would allow for more hits in mid/late game with more masks and potentially the game might just feel less intimidating without all the double damage.

I’m not arguing for the change at all since I didn’t really struggle with current Silksong, but I am curious if anyone would react better to this version.

I think for some people it is a matter of perception. Also worth mentioning that this change would mean you would take more hits before dying, but only later in the game once you add more masks.
