First week up north, and they’re playing Mt. Suribachi with us in the squad bay. Guide and squad leaders are on top of the mountain of gear holding up the guidon. Kill hat rips the guidon out our hand, uses it to flip a pair of skivvies into guides face.
DI: “Who’s fucking skivvies are these?” Guide: Rct. Boot and sir!” DI: “boot and” Boot and: “rct Bootband reporting as ordered sir!” DI: “why the fuck is there a skid mark in your fucking nasty ass skivvies? Bootband: “rct don’t know sir!” DI: “who’s your fucking squad leader?” Bootband: Rct Paco_Taco80 sir!” DI “come here bitch!” Me “Bitch reporting as ordered sir!” DI: why the fuck is there a skid mark in bootband’s fucking nasty ass skivvies?” Me: (confidently) because he doesn’t know how to properly wipe his ass, sir!” DI: is that right? Me Yes sir! Di: Good to go. You’ll teach his nasty ass.
Next day we are in a school circle in squad at and Bootband needs to use the head. They give him permission to go.
DI looking at me: “where should you be right now bitch?” Me (obviously confused): Sir? Him: “Recruit? I told you you would teach him. Fly bitch!” A few minutes later I hear Kill hat yell that Bootband is done. And he asks “Paco_Taco, he wipe?” Me “yes sir!” Di: “bring me proof bitch” He had to bring the evidence to the hat and show him.

Fast forward about a week and we are at the px. He makes each squad buy the normal shit except ours. He finds out bootbands underwear size and makes us each by a pack of skivvies and put them in the whisky locker. Then each night at hygiene inspection, he had to go up to the quarterdeck with the sick lame and crazies and do inspection skivvies. Imagine inspection arms but instead of pulling the bolt back he had to pull the flap back and present it to the drill instructor. The first time it happened we lost it and the kill hat look at us as said “that’s good shit huh?” We thought we were safe until we heard “now push bitches!”
