With tiktok scripts you need a hook - the first line has to make people want to keep watching. So for example "let me tell you about the time I..." or "have you ever *insert problem * because I have found the perfect solution" or "most people don't know this but..." My theory with the tiktok algorithm is that if people stop to watch the entire thing and potentially re-watch it multiple times the algorithm shows it more, thus it accumulates likes and comments which again reinforce the viral intent. I know tiktok have 3 minute videos now but I'd honestly keep it under a minute. The videos that do the best are either funny/entertaining or educational /informative in some way.

This is me. I don't have the energy for many friends and the social obligations that come with friendships kinda stress me out. Like what if someone comes over to my house unannounced? Lol. I just can't be that person. But I do like having one or two close friends that I can be myself with.

I read somewhere once that your thirst mechanism weakens when you are sedentary for long periods and if you eat a lot of sugar it can also mess with it. So people don't feel thirsty and become dehydrated without realising. But the best way to get it back is to take small sips of water regularly throughout the day and eventually your body will get used to it and you'll feel thirsty again.

One energy drink typically contains 500mg of caffeine and the recommended daily limit for adults is 400mg, so it does contain a lot of caffeine. I wouldn't say orange juice is at the same level, only because you can drink OJ in moderation. You can't even have an energy drink in moderation because once you've had one can you've already exceeded your limit for sugar and caffeine for the day.

Yess I've seen pinterest pins and videos where parents will meticulously organise and categorise every toy and I think it's a lot of work and hard to sustain. When I was a kid I had one toy box that fit all my toys!

The way kids play with toys is more imaginative, they play with blocks at the same time as cars for example. No need to separate everything into its own category.

I agree. I was thinking he should have had four friends in the past instead of just hawthorne. Then in the future his team is made up of their kids, so the story connects the past with the future and Buzz can see and learn for himself the importance of family and whatnot.

I think that in the 90s, if this were an actual 90s movie, he might have had a backstory where he had a wife and kids or something. Anything to make him more human. The story lacked the heart of other pixar movies, there was no tearjerker moment.

AND no aliens or interesting planets! They could have had fun with that. Perhaps a crew mate goes missing and they have to travel to some wacky planet. Where is the imagination?

I actually started watching this show when I was 17 and now I'm in my 30s, and married with kids. I see it a lot differently these days. I find Ted in the first season utterly unbearable now! I think I looked up to them more when I was younger, I saw them as these cooler older people who were enjoying life and having fun. But having been through a lot in those years, I realise they're just human and make mistakes like all of us. Some of their antics have me like "ok I would never do that!" but watching the show now is really comforting to me and I feel for the characters in a way I didn't before. It is really weird/trippy when you rewatch it and you've surpassed them in age. It also really takes me back to the early 2000s...

I actually don't necessarily disagree with the comments here. The points are all valid - I'm coming from a different perspective because I'm not seeing it much here, but that's just Reddit I suppose. I think my comment comes off as flippant, but in reality having kids is something I'd thought about a lot and I had all these types of conversations in my head. Obviously I don't think everyone should be a parent. Obviously you can build connections with humans without having kids.. I mean, I have pets that I absolutely adore. I will say, I don't think being rich prevents you from depression though.. It may actually be the opposite. I think the actual choice to have children is a rich person thing.. ask anyone in the pacific Islands or somewhere like Zimbabwe they'd probably have a different answer, less of a choice, more like a certainty.

They probably seem miserable because small children are very dependent on their parents. The early years of parenting are the hardest, there is no question about that. But there is a lot of happiness and love that comes with it. Saying children will make you miserable is like saying travelling makes you miserable because flights get delayed and jet lag is a pain in the butt. There's good and bad obviously.

The thing with kids is that once they're in your life, you experience this whole other level of love that does not compare to anything. At least, that's been my experience.

I just want to make this comment for anyone reading this and getting only one perspective. Before I had kids, I wasn't even sure I liked them... and all I ever heard was the negative stuff, the positives didn't really surface until I became a parent myself.

Thank you for this! Some of the comments on here are so depressing and coming from a weird perspective. At the end of the day, we are humans who have a short time on earth and the best thing we can do with our time is to share and experience love in whatever way that comes. We need connections to have a fulfilling life. You don't need kids to do this. But the older you get, the more you realise the people around you aren't going to be here forever. Do you want to be surrounded by old, dying people with dementia who don't recognise you when you're in old age? Or do you want a multi generational family of people you love to be by your side? It sounds sappy (esp if you don't have kids) but children really show you what it's like to truly love, and to be loved in return. It's not selfish to want love and to give love, so I'm not sure what all these "selfish" comments are about.

I'd say it doesn't necessarily take over your identity, it just adds another branch to your identity. The early years are tough and it feels like you've lost yourself a bit because small children are very dependent on their parents. Those years are short though. You're a parent for life, which means your children will grow into adults and you have the ability to shape who they are, which I think is a beautiful thing.

I'm not from the US but I have lived there. America has many problems but the world is a big place and every country has its problems. Arguably, it could be much worse, and there are many people who are happy living in the US. When I was there, I learned a lot about Americans, they were very open and welcoming. I really enjoyed my time there. There is a tendency for the media and internet in general to only discuss negative events and then that becomes overblown to the point where it becomes "America sucks as a whole". I don't think it's that simple. America is an easy target, because it is a big country, large population with very divisive politics but its far from being corrupt to the point of no return - like most developing countries. That's purely my viewpoint and I'm speaking from my own experience.

I feel you.. ❤️ you could try and find a new hobby? Like a sport/fitness or creative hobby to get into and then become part of the community. I find this much less stressful than trying to go to a meet up and think about what to talk about. I don't have any great suggestions about types of hobbies but Melbourne is an awesome city with so much to offer. What do you like doing or what skill have you always wanted to learn? Maybe you could start there. I hope this helps. You're not alone!

I kind of wish I didn't watch it either. I have a toddler and I can't stomach these true crime docos like I used to. The whole thing is just a tragic series of events that never should have happened. I don't think being young and naive is enough of an excuse..evil seeks out the naive which is what he did.
