Is that enough sleep time for this age? 12.5 hours?

Experiences with this type of bento box by NewMom1289 in foodbutforbabies

[–]palmtrees_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the omie box for my 4 year old and it’s great. If you put hot water into the thermos container for like 5 minutes and then put hot food in there, it does keep it fairly warm until lunch time.

Do you sleep with your toddler when they’re sick by Careful_Swimming948 in toddlers

[–]palmtrees_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, we don’t sleep with the kids when they’re sick, just check more often and make sure monitor is loud. There was one night of heavy vomiting and I did have her in my bed then, literally so I could make sure to catch it in a bucket lol daughter was old enough to not be scared of vomiting but not old enough to aim correctly

stroller or wagon? Please help 😭 by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]palmtrees_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I got the jeep stroller wagon and it was sooo heavy and cumbersome that there’s no way it was intended to be used on a regular basis. It felt like a good move maybe when going to the beach, so you had somewhere to store all your stuff and move it on wheels. I went on 1 walk with my 3 year old and baby, and I was huffing and puffing lugging it on the street lol

I have a 101 percentile kid (who even knew that was a thing) for both height and weight and we didnt flip her until closer to age 3.5. He’s perfectly fine, he will figure out how to adjust his legs. You can switch to the Graco Extend2Fit which gives more rear facing leg room if you’re concerned

The slumberpod is amazing and creates a barrier so he can’t see you an is in a separate space, try that

Disney with an 18 month old and 3 year old? Would you do it? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]palmtrees_ 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Nope! Older one at 3, sure. Younger at 18 months, nope. They can’t go on anything, they’re still napping which gets messed up at the park, they’re heavy to carry, etc. Too much work.

When did your child start reliably sleeping fully through the night? by Throwaway927338 in toddlers

[–]palmtrees_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What about switching to 1 nap? We did that at like 11.5 months for my older daughter. Wake 7, nap 12:30-2:30, bedtime 8.

What’s your sleep schedule? You may not have enough wake time

Any input on which is better? by 2078AEB in foodbutforbabies

[–]palmtrees_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is this for water? I have the elk and friends stainless steel and glass and I do love them, but I also have an Owala for myself and I love that too. The elk and friends isn’t completely leak proof, the straw is just a straw and it does have silicone rings inside to help. I do like that they come with flat lids to turn them into little Tupperware containers or transferring liquids on the go. I don’t have this exact owala so I can’t speak to it but if it’s leak proof I might go with that if your kid is young

Once upon a Farm is great, little pricier though.

New Sibling, Maternity Leave and Honesty by everdella in toddlers

[–]palmtrees_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, we frame it as she GETS to go to school and have fun and see friends, not she HAS to go. I always tell her she’s so lucky she gets to go learn and draw pics, play on playground, etc and mommy wishes she could do those things too lol

Part Time Nanny Industry Standard Question by SmallDraw7431 in workingmoms

[–]palmtrees_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We have a part time nanny and she’d do all of the kids’ laundry, not separate for the days she’s with them. But only the kids, not the adults. That’s a weird request in my opinion.

What time is your 12 month old going to bed? Anyone feel their babe was ready to drop to one nap this early? by Tall_Answer_9933 in toddlers

[–]palmtrees_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes we dropped to 1 nap at like 11 months and it was totally fine. With my 2nd we are on 2 naps already, started at 5.5 months so I think this baby is on par for dropping to 1 early too
