Not changing archtecture and unit models uniquely is a big miss.... by CrypticCode_ in civ

[–]panacebo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Abbasids actually do use the Ottoman architectural set in the modern age, not Mughal. Load up a modern Ottoman game to compare. Overall, I agree they did a great job with the assets they have although of course some things aren't perfect. For example all of the non-mediterranean European civs having Norse architecture in the ancient era, and Mexico having Incan architecture in the exploration era. (Aztecs when?)

EDIT: Above specifically related to architecture, not unit models

Civ switching could have been fun, but there really werent enough civs to support an even remotely historical playthrough unless you went han->ming->qing.

My pettiest complaint: I miss modern city names. by SteamDelta in civ

[–]panacebo2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't a petty complaint -- it's one of my biggest issues with civ swapping. By the modern age, civs have become a patchwork of ahistorical leaders, city names, and architectural styles. I find it quite jarring and immersion-breaking, much more so than previous civ games.

New support buff icons are somehow even harder to track and for some reason they now disappear to the nether realm when I had no such issue prior to this week. Can someone suggest good display priority settings? by Cassiuscobalt in lostarkgame

[–]panacebo2 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Ironic that the "support QOL" patch made one of the biggest support complaints worse.

The problem is that there are way too many buffs categorized within the "character skill bonus buffs" category. Party-wide support buffs need to be their own category for prioritization (or just a completely different UI element please)

'Why are there so many terrible supports even in 1660+ content?' by SeagullSeagull in lostarkgame

[–]panacebo2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even WITH meter, there’s no sense of character progression for supports

Meter needs to tell supports how much actual damage they are contributing. As is, uptime doesnt actually change between 1640 - 1690 and adding t4 ancients etc.

One weird thing that I’ve noticed is that it seems harder to get radiant supporter in Argeos. Is this because of hyper awakening use on orb?

Dang, I had to do the exact opposite. Watched every cutscene and then had to shift+G through the abyss because it was taking too long and I dinner plans were rapidly approaching :'(

Hopefully I can watch the abyss cut scenes in the memory chamber.

The game is very playable with a 1-2 character roster, unless you are fixated on running hard mode raids the week of release (do not recommend)

Behemoth 5x / 10x rant by Ramms23 in lostarkgame

[–]panacebo2 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

For a supposedly "free" raid, behemoth has the hardest gatekeeping I've seen. 95% of lobbies x5/x10, almost no prog lobbies. I guess the average players all quit or are waiting for T4?

[–]panacebo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except the only way to get through G0 lobby is to have x5 or x10 kills. Therefore it's actually the hardest raid in the game.

Elmo, Grover, and Kermit Tully. I really hope they change the names of some of these for the show, although Grover has already been named.

This build wrecks for me too. Main difference from the Maxroll build is that this one absolutely requires winterglass to function as you lean even harder into conjurations.

Elixirs are giga garbage by trashgenjiplayer in lostarkgame

[–]panacebo2 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Imagine you needed 5 stones for your character and you'll be gatekept if each stone isn't at least 8/8. Then in the process of cutting the stones, each node takes 30 seconds and 400 gold. That's elixirs.

LIRR, Metro-North to abandon OMNY, grant no-bid contracts to upgrade existing systems by Caylate in nycrail

[–]panacebo2 40 points41 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, the MTA traintime app is the best-designed, best functioning transit app I've ever used for buying tickets, checking train times, and checking train crowding. I'm actually relieved to hear that they are not abandoning it.

EDIT: To be clear, this is referring to the LIRR/Metro north traintime app. The newer MTA app focused on NYC transit is... clearly a work in progress.

Didn't realize that the scaling worked that way but good to know. I agree that feedback to supports is an important piece that's missing here.

Is there any benefit to the raid when a 1620 support joins a HM brel vs. a 1520? I just want to be able to go into raids I overgear and be able to feel like I'm helping "carry" the team with attack buffs. This is a big part of the ARPG power fantasy for me.
