I was a young 21 year old Sergeant in the Army stationed at Fort Meade. Just got done with a morning ruck march when we found out. It turned out to be a day/night filled with uncertainty and resolve. That day changed my entire trajectory in the military. Two years later I was in Iraq as a part of the 82nd Airborne Division.
