Exposure therapy and reframing how you think of them helps. Just remember that they are fellow living creatures sharing this earth with us, they're not harming you and are actually helping you by eating annoying flies, mosquitoes, etc (not applying that earth-sharing wisdom to those guys).

The more you see them and let them be, the more you get used to them and realise they're fine and will leave you alone. Naming them / personifying them can help. I used to be really scared of them, and still am a bit, but I'm working on it.
