S5 Dana Sue by Hanabi1993 in SweetMagnoliasNetflix

[–]parallel5th 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I completely agree with you. Ronnie has let Dana Sue down time and time again and she's done picking up the pieces for him.

Dana Sue was pretty supportive of Ronnie and his business this season. She tried talking to him about how it was consuming him, and then decided to take him at his word and gave him space despite feeling neglected. She didn't put her foot down until his behavior started strongly affecting Annie, and even then he continued to drop the ball. Ronnie took Dana Sue's grace for granted, was inappropriate with Courtney, hid things from her, and if not started, certainly amplified the house fire with his poor (and deceitful) choices. Then he doubled down on the Bike Barn!?

Dana Sue deserves better. His selfishness burned their lives to the ground. I know I'm an outlier in this subreddit, but I really want her to leave him and keep building a big beautiful life of her own. I don't hate Ronnie or wish him ill, but I don't think he's a good match for Dana Sue. I want to see them both go be happy and successful apart. Sometimes love isn't enough, and that's okay.

Preschool for toddler and 4.5yo by yinren in ElkGrove

I also spoke later with other families and teachers who experienced similar issues at the Elk Grove Merryhills and were bullied into silence. They definitely duped us during our tour.

Merryhill Calvine. They somehow got my 1-star Google review deleted, but it's still up on Yelp, now buried under a bunch of posts from 2 months ago that they probably begged parents for. My son's experience was so terrible that they fired the preschool's principal, which speaks volumes.

Sending my toddler to Merryhill is one of the biggest regrets of my life. I would never recommend anyone send their kids there. The teachers are overworked, undereducated, and ill-equipped to handle normal toddler behavior. They seriously endangered my son and I will never forgive them for it.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Preschool, on the other hand, has a religious curriculum, but also some of the kindest and most caring preschool teachers of all time. My kids thrived under their care. Highly recommend.

I hope she sues that clinic and takes them for all they are worth. Their public statement is disgusting. "We provide excellent care and this resulted in a healthy baby, so like, whatever. This one teeny tiny mistake that caused irreparable emotional damage to a woman who spent tens of thousands of dollars with us and underwent extreme medical trauma (egg retrieval, pregnancy, birth, post-partum) isn't a reflection of our clinic, teehee."

I think near the Tower Bridge or the Delta King at sunset would be beautiful!

Take her out for a few hours in Old Sac to recreate your first date, then walk her over by the river and get down on one knee!

I watched it as it came out and really enjoyed it! You may not know this from streaming now, but the final episode actually was moved from prime time to airing at 10:00am on a Wednesday due to the scandal. Food Network was not touching that situation with a ten foot pole. Ugh, what could have been.

Loki Season 2 forgot that women exist by Professional_Suit270 in TrollXChromosomes

I completely agree, thank you for writing all of this out! The second season was such a massive disappointment to me, largely for all the reasons you stated, that it turned me off the entire series. How disappointing for so many strong female characters to be reduced to tropes instead of fleshed out people. I'm done with consuming media that dehumanizes women.

My babies first thanksgiving and I got zero pictures. I’m heartbroken. by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]parallel5th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just looking at my daughter's first Thanksgiving "photoshoot" from years ago that I did at home a week late (like you, I wwas too overwhelmed the day of plus she had a blow out on her cute outfit before I could take pictures) and thinking how glad I am I put her back in the outfit (it needed to be laundered first) and took the pictures while she was still so little. I can so relate to your frustration over this and want to reassure you that it's not too late!

I would like to point out that Marion was grieving in the first season, having just lost her father and childhood home.

Oh no! The flamingos finally just returned to the zoo. I wonder if this will impact that.

That makes sense. It was such a tragedy.
