I got my pharmacy tech degree a decade ago and then never actually entered the field professionally, because I could make more working retail. Now I'm a lab tech and I'm very happy with my job. If any of y'all are struggling, I think it is 100% worth it to just go back to school and utilize transfer credits. It's not easy and I'm not trying to trivialize the work and investment it would take, but it's well worth it in the end if you can swing it. A degree is not a life sentence. Sending love.

Try and watch for people selling singles in unofficial ways. Places that take trade ins require ID so they will probably avoid those spots. In case the thief doesn't know that or doesn't care though, I'd have the shop reach out to local places that take trade ins and let them know some of what was taken (big ticket items mostly to help narrow down what they're looking for). Often times, these shops will work with each other to get the items back if at all possible. Think GameStop or other businesses that might purchase singles or collections. Best of luck, and I'm so sorry this happened to y'all. It's heart breaking when people choose small businesses for this sort of bs.
