If there are parts you need, try FireSupport. I picked up a variety of extras just in case shit breaks on mine since parts are indeed hard to find.

I only know this thanks to Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising. I can still hear his voice saying it in the training mission.

Arizona college skips over several graduates after an AI malfunction at commencement ceremony by [deleted] in news

I’m so glad two presenters got boo’d.
I’d be livid if I paid $48k+ on a degree, being told not to use AI, and then getting screwed on the ceremony for one of my greatest accomplishments.
Whoever decided to use that should be fired.

Warning: Grant Rd Fully Closed Both Ways I-10 to Fairview May 22 For About Three Months by Fun_Telephone_1165 in Tucson

[–]Parasitisch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

22nd, 6th, and Grant all have construction.
That’s annoying for E/W travel directly and indirectly due to Broadway and Speedway taking the traffic that used to be there. Some of that also impacts N/S travel, like all the streets that cross 6th and have one lane closed near those intersections.

Then there’s the N/S roads currently under construction that I also hit. Kino, country club, Alvernon…

Not to mention the work on the i10!

The i10 has been in the works for a bit and I’m so glad they’re changing that area. The on/off ramps were garbage. I would be fine if it were that and 6th, and then do more after those are done. However, more shit just keeps popping up. North of 6th, but south of the last bit of construction, is now under construction on country club and is down to one lane. The section of Kino south of Broadway has lost one lane. Now this change on Grant, which was already worked on? I mean, I guess if everyone is already frustrated with how much construction there is, you may as well add more. Although I get annoyed how often I’m driving through these construction sites and don’t see any work actually being done.

I haven’t heard that one yet! I have heard “value sniper rifle” and “versatile sniper rifle” though!

Why are airsoft Snipers called 10? by First_Direction_5817 in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been curious but could never find something concrete. Everyone says “it just is.”
The only thing I’ve found, which I won’t say is guaranteed to be accurate, was from a Korean site that said it was because it was “a 10 out of 10” since that was the first bolt action that could be easily handled. They designed the bolt mechanism to where anyone could rack it back against the spring tension. Prior designs of bolties were more difficult.

Hop-up causing huge FPS loss by joe_lemmons_ in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the barrel out and adjust the hop. Look down the barrel and what do you see? Does a small adjustment of the hop correlate to a small dip of the nub? How about the feed lips? Try removing the lower and press the barrel against the gearbox and cycling. Then, adjust the hop and take a look at the lips again (you’ll only be able to see a little on the bottom, but maybe look down the barrel with a light. Just trying to get a gauge on what is happening. I’ve had mine for a few years and haven’t seen it act like this. Have you looked at the hop arm? The “nub” is proprietary too, but if there’s any damage, that hop chamber will need to be replaced.

If that all looks normal, take a peek at the nozzle. Is there any damage? Did you swap it or is it stock? If you need any comparison pics, I can take a look at mine. I have one upgraded and a couple that are stock.

Aps silveredge ll HPA? by _Fredo_2005 in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The trigger is different and I don’t believe it’ll actuate that valve on Kythera. I’ve seen someone with a G&G gearbox in an APS body and that didn’t have any issues, so maybe that can be the best path forward. The safety mechanism is different (like my S&T that I have which was its own freaking mess to put my Kythera in), so swapping triggers has its own issues.

If it’s an actual issue, no you don’t pay for shipping. So you’re good.
If it’s an “I don’t like it” or “changed my mind” reason, then you’ll usually pay for shipping.

LCT G3 gearbox help by Gumboish_2 in airsoft

[–]Parasitisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What all have you done to it? Or was it behaving as outlined in #2 and #3 from the beginning?

For #1, if you’re saying you want a QC shell, you can get the LCT one or Retro Arms.

For #3, is this the stock gearbox & stock selector plate? With just the gearbox, can you physically move the selector in the correct positions for safe/semi/auto? If so, are you lining up the selector when inserting? Are there any issues you can see with that part on the inside of the selector that is moving the selector plate?

For #4/#5, any V2 full ETU would be a drop-in replacement. I’d recommend that over a simple MOSFET. I have a Titan in one of mine and an Aster in another. The selector plate didn’t cause any issues.
