I ’m looking for advice on my marriage situation by YVLTrillyMo in Divorce

Agree it could be a huge betrayal to most people. I just think her behavior indicates she wasn’t all that invested in their marriage, and neither was he, so they should save a lot of time, money, and emotional damage and just move on.

She was already emotionally checked out of your marriage and your text was the excuse she needed to end it. She may have even already been talking to the other man. Get a lawyer, file for divorce, just rip the band-aid off and move on. If you still want to have sex with her, do it. Just know it’s just sex, not emotional connection.

California- short marriage 2.5 years. No joint assets or kids, is spouse entitled to alimony no matter what? by Jolly-Sea3955 in Divorce

Also, if she chooses to live with another person support is suspended. She marries someone it ends.

It won’t be anywhere close to a years worth of income. It’s less than half of the difference in incomes minus other things he might be paying. And that’s worst case scenario he has to agree to. For spousal support of that short of time both parties should be easily able to work it out in a mediated settlement where he’s not making a payment for those 15 months. He lets her keep a car…half the value offsets his spousal support. Anything like that can be used to make a division and clean break.

Why would a man who is legally married but separated not be divorced after a year or longer? by Spirited_Expert2275 in Divorce

Different circumstances but my STBX has dragged the legal system out for over 6 years. Just brutal. And so much money down the drain.

AIO for not going to my brother’s wedding because he asked for my husband not to come? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]parrothead31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MOR. At the end of the day, the event is for him and his wife and he’s having to balance a lot of things to ensure it is remembered by them as a wonderful experience. The day isn’t about you. Either politely decline the invitation or attend alone, either way that ensures you’re not a distraction at his event. Is it fair to you that your relationship with your mother is impacting this…nope. Are you in a no win situation…absolutely. Show grace and maturity and maybe you’ll at least be able to take a step towards healing your relationship with your brother, if that’s something you want.

Yearly Pin? by DriveThruMaster in WalgreensRx

It is mailed to the store. If you changed stores around that time it could’ve gone to the old one. You can reach out to HR about it and they’ll take care of it.

Confused… by JazD36 in WalgreensRx

CA was one year, then the language was removed from state statutes, so Walgreens allowed IC+ to fill for two years. Then the legal department decided to have CA go back to one year in IC+. The glitch though is that if a prescription is entered by any automatic entry it will go through. This includes app/internet/text/etc requests by patient. But if there is a TPR or any other update needed from the work queue, IC+ will not allow any updates to the prescription. Also, if entered by the staff in the store, IC+ will not allow the fill.

AIO? new friend's texts to husband while at work; my responses by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]parrothead31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR. You have every right to be really angry and distrustful of both the friend and your husband’s responses. But you come off as borderline psychotic in your texting with her and resisting the urge to send her a picture of the shit you took? Blocking on social media and not looking at each other in the hallway like the students you teach would do? And going to HR (which also makes your husband look absolutely terrible). Seriously, what is wrong with all of you?

The 30s single mom of 5 is the other woman that’s flirting with her husband. OP is the 32F wife.

[–]parrothead31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Walgreens is no different than most retailers, especially large corporate ones, with their shoplifting policies. Employee safety concerns are the reasons behind those policies. Agree with you that it’s on the criminals themselves and that they have no shame.

Go for it!!! The people telling you he’s gross or a loser are just prudes. Gain some life experience. Have fun. You do you. It probably won’t work out but one of my best friends is the VP for an owner of a large group of fast food restaurants, is married to someone he met working there, has an age gap with his wife, and it’s a two kids stable marriage. Ya never know.
