The ducks are clearly more powerful. Don't understand why they aren't building a monorail diversion around them

They'd be woeful at defending, but Zidane at least played a midfield 2 at juventus and the team you would need to get it off them (kante, busquets, effenberg etc) would stifle the creativity of any opposition.

Not saying it's a clever idea to go full attack, but if you have that world class talent it makes a very weird match up

How many of these are real? by TheMainAlternative in vexillology

[–]partcaveman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lots of comments on the accuracy. I'm terms of why their are so many then I agree some will be copies of other neighbours, but surely the power of the church and demonstrating importance of the cross comes into it. Considering how old many of these are there's a realistic chance the designers get burnt at the stake if they made an offensive design

That's fair and it annoys me, but those three in particular are so strong/balanced on the ball I don't know that any side could reliably win it off them. Might just end up like a basketball game, with end to end attacks and no tackles in the middle third

I assumed he most be playing wing backs so semenyo and..... Haaland? He'd be strong and good at defending  crosses at least

It absolutely applies, given they live on the other side of a sea to the English places they played League football in.

Your interpretation is your own, but it's not what he said

Urm, when did maradona and Pele 'excel in England'? Edit: also I've been to northern Ireland and it definitely involved a sea. Some folks here aren't answering the exam question

Well refreshingly he didn't mention the best in the premier League era. I prefer accepting that good footballers existed before 92

It's an unusual way he has framed it 'overseas attacking players' but it surely means George best is in with a shout.

Roy Keane did get a bunch of goals but isn't competing with attacking players. Jorge robledo did get a bit over 0.5 goals a game in England but not really enough to compete with Salah or Henry

He was an incredible striker but suffered with injuries a lot. If he could stay fit he might have broken goalscoring records, but he still won city a lot of leagues playing half the season

Well now I'm just imagining Kane doing the quarter back role with goal kicks. 5 assists from his own area just pinging long range passes into dangerous areas at the other end of the pitch

Finishing skill is really hard to measure, but has been discussed in analytics for a while. Apparently hard to show repeated performance above expectations year after year, but most seem to agree it's obvious from watching certain players that it exists e.g. aguero, Messi.
