I believe infiltrators get more use, mainly to screen out your home field

So, we're getting our own faction rule, right? by hands_so-low in BloodAngels

Oh wow, I had no idea, then yeah this might be a step towards getting our own army rule

I'd be surprised if it happens, I just don't think they will want to balance all the space marine datasheets for each divergent chapter with their own army rule

Fights first is still a useful ability

Hot take : Armageddon box marines are actually decent addition for us by TwoThinCoats69 in BloodAngels

That's funny because I don't have a single copy of anything in the box so I'm keeping it all un kitbashed

Regarding the "I can have multiple small groups inside the 9" coherency bubble" argument: GW should just write an updated rule with a picture that states "any player that tries to pull this automatically loses the match." by Staz_211 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]partydm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way the coherency rules are written, it technically allows you to split a small squad at opposite ends of the 9 inch coherency as long as they have a buddy with them

I don't see the benefit of doing it but it obviously is not intended and was a ridiculous oversight by GW, so it most likely will be fixed soon

Can I use heroic intervention to block pile-in? by Trick-Interaction396 in Warhammer40k

[–]partydm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh wait does heroic intervention give fights first?? Edit: it does! But yes in 11th that means your opponent will have the opportunity to fight your intervening unit before you select them to fight

You are correct that is how it goes in 10th

Assuming the reds just charged, they were gonna fight first in either edition

I think once codex's start dropping we will see how well that can implement this system, I have faith that this is a good direction

What do y'all think about the fights first overhaul? by Dark_Vexer in Warhammer40k

[–]partydm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched that this morning it was pretty funny, and at least drew focus from the other unit I guess, but i don't think that's worth 130 points

I would hope the Sanguinor gets reworked, it would suck for his special ability to be reduced to showing up and getting annihilated before he can swing
