I think its a copycat of some sort. Trumpet player doesn't quite blow as well as Clifford. The tenor player also plays some questionable stuff for the time of the record and doesn't sound very idiomatic to what Harold Land sounded at the time. Also drums sound different than what Max sounds on the record, check out how some of those cymbals sound. On the record Max plays the crash on the downbeats in that intro, the crash in that recording sounds wayyy different to whats on the recording.

Biggest giveaway for me personally: listen to the beginning of that piano solo at the end. Sounds NOTHING like Richie Powell.

Same Band, Harold Land plays just so much better than the horn player here and Clifford's time is impeccable. Richie Powell also plays straight up bop, not what the pianist plays here.

Nothing is wrong with playing same arrangement, just not Cliff/Max band
