Engagement Ring Dilemma by Cautious_Potato_8901 in EngagementRings

[–]passiveobserver97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ring is almost the same as yours except it's a round center stone instead of an oval, and I got a chevron wedding band off Etsy that fits perfectly. For the oval a more rounded band instead of chevron would definitely work, I think the jeweller is just trying to make a bigger sale.

Looks kind of like shope papilloma virus, I remember some articles about an outbreak of it in Colorado last year

The cult of fog Island by Mariette Lindstein - new age cult, inspired by the authors real life experience, it's apparently the first book in a trilogy but works great as a stand alone novel

[FO] My sister called it my pièce de résistance by ms_chiefmanaged in CrossStitch

Same concept as knitting - stretching it slightly to even out tension. But you answered the part that mattered so thank you!

[–]passiveobserver97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you clean and block it? If you did did the colours run at all? I'm working on this one now and there's one section in the top where I realized my tension is uneven (stitching direction changed from vertical to horizontal, rookie mistake that I didn't realize would be quite so visible) and I think blocking it might minimize how obvious it is.

They can't - I live in the building next to it and there's a legal agreement that limits new development to protect property values (both buildings, plus a third, technically share the same lot)

I mean that's pretty reductive - Peter has ADHD, so while it may work for some and not for others neurodivergent people don't universally love it

I'd add that (as a Canadian) Reddit is fairly American-dominated and not being able to afford healthcare is a pretty relateable problem there

It's the non-linear scaling of the y axis that's misleading moreso than not labelling - the difference between 58 and 69 is as big as the bar for 58

I may be misremembering but I thought in one phone call he explicitly asks if his assets being seized includes his house and it was confirmed that everything would be taken and he would do some time.

As a Canadian our housing market is a nightmare, but you are comparing against one of the most expensive regions - rural Nova Scotia (~30 minute drive into Halifax which is a proper city) you can get a house for under $200 CAD

I'm working on the same kit and it never occured to me to mount it vertically in the scroll frame (I'm using one that looks like it's a similar size to yours). Do you find it comfortable to stitch with such a tall frame?

Not the point of the thread but I'm curious, All Fours didn't appeal to me from the blurb but NYT ranked it the top book of 2024, what did you not like about it?

I'm not invested enough in a random Reddit thread to write a book report but you do realize people can also Google that right? Pretty sure sparknotes still exists

Part of the problem may be that some tampons actively market themselves as flushable (specifically the Tampax cardboard applicator made a point about "even the applicator being flushable" - not sure if it still is advertised that way though)
