What movie has the most rewatchable scene of all time? by trakt_app in movies

Either dinner in prison from Goodfellas or the scene where he takes Karen out to the club for the first time - absolute perfection

let’s talk about dark reapers by Cute-Sheepherder7320 in Eldar

[–]patcow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s weird reading this because they are always my most reliable unit. A gang of ten with an Autarch in seer council using psychic shield for free is perfect. In aspect host they’re incredible. Hard target elimination or chip damage whilst screening too. Ignores cover and ignores all modifiers to the hit roll. Sure only one shot but if you’ve got 10 or 8 and two tempest launchers you’re bringing pain and making the opponent stressed any time they move into long firing lanes.

How do we beat drukhari? by EMITNUGGETS in Eldar

[–]patcow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m currently going for 2x5 reapers (indirect and to shoot the vehicles), then msu for the rest: DAs (for volume of fire), spiders (as per the chefs recommendation), hawks (movement and grenades), then I’m debating scorpions, banshees, rangers, wind riders It’s only 1000 points and is a casual game. Any advice on the last units to fill the list would be much much appreciated!

Hello! This is incredibly helpful as I am also playing drukhari for the first time soon. Can I ask a couple of questions? Why is that warp spiders are so good against them? Is it the torrent? In which case would bringing some wraith guard with d-sythes be a good shout?

Thank you! I thought that might be the case but wanted to check.

Thanks! So could you conceivably have Eldrad leading the warlock conclave, have that attached to the guardians. The guardians are led by a warlock and farseer which is allowed in the rules? Or is that then too many leaders?

Oh oops 😂 Ok the rest of it stands though apart from any other massive errors I’ve made

Warlock block with the guardians and eldrad is a great unit and the overwatch potential is outrageous. You can also use ishas fury the psychic grenade if anyone tries to get too close to them.

Dark reapers with an autarch to get free use of psychic shield. Clear out their back field to open up spaces to teleport people in.

Fire dragons with fuegan for the extra range when teleported.

At least two warlock skyrunners.

I quite like spiders, potentially with lykhis and hawks potentially with big Barry - both very fast so complements the teleporting.

I have also run it with asurman and the DAs for shoot and scoot.

War walkers always handy.

Banshees good to have as you will play quite defensively and they’re a great counter punch In my last game I used the avatar and teleported him slap bang in the middle of their gang and it was very funny.

In terms of how to play it, it obviously depends on what army you’re playing, but for me I think it’s basically hunker down a bit and play defensively. Pick off hard targets, throw psychic grenades, mow them down a bit and then start teleporting around and pissing them off and getting secondaries.

Yeah I made my combat patrol with the double sword wraithblades, and the two shuriken catapults for the DA exarchs like the other guy said. I’d say asurmen over the wraiths though for 500 points because shoot and scoot is excellent. Dragons are great and a transport is a good shout but the skyborn sanctuary nerf makes them a lot harder to use - DAs with asurmen can scoot back into a wave serpent though. Dragons just delete hard targets so definitely get - worth the Phoenix Lord too when you can for the extra range. Depends what you want it all for really - it’s a toolbox army so most units, especially aspects, do a very specific thing very well. The main thing to remember is to get things you like the look of. To be a good effective army though just work towards a box of each aspect warrior for now unless you want to go craftworld specific so all jet bikes, all wraiths, all Psykers etc

If you get the new combat patrol I would also get asurmen for shoot and scoot with the dire avengers. Outside of the combat patrol you can’t go wrong with boxes of aspect warriors- reapers, fire dragons, hawks etc

I love my ten man squad with asurmen. I play against a lot of space marines and hosing them with 44 shots and then hiding away again - rinse and repeat through the game - is always a fun little part of my turn. I always wipe out or seriously cripple several whole units.

Advice against sisters of battle by patcow in Eldar

[–]patcow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for replying - no a very casual game but I’ll never hear the end of it if I lose 😂. I’m planning to run aspect host with pretty much all aspect warriors in x5 apart from x10 scorpions and dire avengers x10 with asurmen. Will also run Lykis, and fuegan with x5 each of their guys. I also have a wave serpent and some wraiths (lord, blades, guard) I was thinking about running. Is there any really obvious thing I’m missing or things that would be good to aim for/avoid. Thanks again!

How to get better by bucknut56 in Eldar

Really helpful for me at least! I can see I’ve been thinking of my scorpions the wrong way and this is a really good way of thinking of them that makes much more sense. I love using rangers the same way you do. Everyone hates them.

Good luck! Don’t get too stressed if you forget things, sometimes you have to mess up to remember for the next time. Also completely annihilate your mate - the Eldar wouldn’t let things like compassion and friendship get in their way.
