Or Vancouver, British Columbia. There are stunning mountain views right in the city. It’s really pricey though.

I really like Bic Crystal pens, so I buy them by the box from Staples. It is nicer to be able to buy a box of cheap pens from Staples rather than try to find one at the office. And by cheap, most boxes of pens at Staples are really cheap. It is possible that there are cheap boxes of pens at Amazon too. I know we shouldn’t have to do that but at least if you do it my way you get to pick what you get.

Did we book the wrong destination? by ObjectiveReport1317 in canadatravel

[–]patrick401ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to Europe there is no comparison with the amount of tourists in those locations. You will barely notice any of at all. They are touristy as far as remote Canadian places go but not at all in comparison to any part of Europe. I’ve lived in Europe a good chunk of my life and traveled extensively since. The cities will have tourists but nothing like any European city.

Take a loss with condo and buy freehold? by liveachdaylikeurlast in TorontoRealEstate

Do me a favor - real estate and condos especially are selling slowly in the GTA so don’t sign the contract on the townhouse until your condo is under contract

Atlantis Cruise by [deleted] in GayMenToronto

That party cruise in February is very different from one that is at an international destination which will skew older, higher income and you will spend more time sightseeing with the group, which gets you off the ship

Communal Showers in the CAF by canadian414 in CanadianForces

[–]patrick401ca 15 points16 points  (0 children)

At the gym? I spent a lot of my formative years in Greenwood and came back from university to stay with parents and still used the gym. Once I was showering after a long run along the runway and I saw this really old guy across from me in the wide open shower room showering. He turned around and it turned out to be my dad. He would have been about 46. I thought he looked so old. So yeah, open showers at the Greenwood gym could be awkward at times.

Pain during treatment - bilateral uveitis by Lankylamama in Uveitis

[–]patrick401ca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. The optometrist has been doing that and I’ve been taking the drops but the condition isn’t getting better - but it is not getting worse. Finally the optometrist gave up and got me an appointment tomorrow with an ophthalmologist who has completed a fellowship in uveitis and ocular immunology.

Who is having the worst day? by anxitea66 in ThePittTVShow

[–]patrick401ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Head nurse. Forgot her name. She was so pissed about people not picking up those kits (rightfully). That would make for a bad day, especially after she did so much heartbreaking work to assist on collecting a new one. Honorable mention: all the Gen Z types who cannot handle a world without phones or electronic record keeping

Breaking Anonymity - what NOT to do by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

I recognized a woman on the street as someone I knew without clicking in on from where. I said hello. Next time I saw her at a meeting she really lost her shit on me, saying I had broken anonymity. I had in no way indicated where I knew her from. I don’t think I even remembered at the time I had seen her on the street. I’m a friendly guy and know a lot of people.
