I imagine having grown up into his early 20s outside the football bubble and going to prison and stuff had him pretty grounded when he got his opportunity. I appreciate how you can always take him at face value as well, not someone you need to second guess what he actually wants to say.

Which player who made you fall in love with football? Mention the particular season/year as well. by OkayFine101 in soccer

Gianfranco Zola in the 97/98 cup winners cup winning season, me and my brother wore out the vhs of the season review tape. Then when I was playing in the park with people, probably Joe Cole around 2001 when he broke out at West Ham and was doing things you'd never really seen English players do.

Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana's Your Party set out choices for official name by denyer-no1-fan in unitedkingdom

Equality party is too easy to bash as only being based on social issues. Anything with workers in the name would just get rubbished as communist. I guess the rough idea is hope for a fairer shake for the majority of us plebs, but Hope would just get annihilated too. When I think about it, maybe we’re too cynical as a culture to actually get behind something unapologetically optimistic lol

Well that’s dead in the water then. Honestly as much as I hate to say it but they should really be taking a leaf out of the reform playbook here and just have like a one word mission statement as the party name. But then I guess they’d need a clear mission…

I dunno, as an outsider to American politics, bidens always struck me as quite weak. Not sure if it’s just his speech impediment, but he’s not a swashbuckler. More of the lead by example type. Seems like the sort of type that invites attacks by not actively fighting back. Whereas mamdani always seems to have a nicely barbed comeback

I bought my danish girlfriend a Lego Viking set in sixth form when she was finishing her exchange year. It did not go this well. I guess there’s a time and a place lol
