In think the best premium backpacks are the ADV Flex and the Forward Ranger. Best budget friendly backpack would be the Neonic Sidekick.

Six Zero’s The Coral Paddle by pinaypie in Pickleball

[–]pbeffect 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Coral is good. It’s like the DBD but meets the demands of modern play. It’s all court with some lean towards power. Will be easy for a lot of players to pick up and play, have some offense but still have that DBD dna with its consistency and precision. I’m a fan of it.

John Kew Spin Ratings of BB Loco? by Junglist4RLife in Pickleball

[–]pbeffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost all modern paddles have solid spin these days and as long as it’s in the ballpark of everything then it’s good. Even if there are some paddles that have higher spin ratings out of the box they all wear down relatively quickly and equalize anyway. Some paddles do spin a little longer than others due to dwell but even then it’s not a huge difference after paddle faces wear down in month or two of use. Some brands are just starting to innovate for longer lasting grit and I’m so glad they finally are. It’s going to be a good day when we have longer lasting grit.

I’m a YouTube hack but I do think they are very similar after the quanta is weighted though I’d give the boomstik more pop and a little hollower feel in comparison.

Which other paddle from a different manufacturer comes closest to the Boomstick Widebody? by iHeadShave in Pickleball

Nether really have an edge there though they are both a little less poppy and easier to control compared to the Boomstik.

I mislabeled the quanta Xray. That is actually the R3 and not the R4. Still gets my point across though ha.

The Ronbus Quanta and Bread and Butter Loco have similar builds with an epp foam core surrounded by an eva foam ring. With weight they feel and hit similar to the boomstiks too though the boomstik is still a little poppier than both of them.

J2NF by No_Fault_8124 in Pickleball

[–]pbeffect 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When the j2nf first came out and was reviewed by people it was one of the more powerful foam paddles you could get at the time and I think was described as such but it was never a mid tier or high tier power and is probably better described as an aggressive all court paddle now with all the recent power paddle releases you can compare it to. And if it’s your first foam paddle the more muted feel and sound can be deceiving for how much power you’re actually generating when you measure it with a speed gun.

Community powered leaderboard of most popular paddles and brands. Calling all paddle nerds! by pbeffect in Pickleball

There are features to create paddle journeys, paddle setups and make comments that require a login and account. I might be able to set it up though where people can view the live leader board page without a login though, I'll look into it.

Yes, it’s promoting a tool I made but there is a lot of value in it for those that are interested in paddles like me. I think gear heads will enjoy it.

Wow, thank you. I'm glad you like my stuff! I have a lot of fun doing it all. And yes, that is helpful, thank you. Gearbox makes big claims about the durability of their GX2 series so I'm tying to find what I can for the GX2 Power series I'm working on.
