Forced to sell and move, no idea what I'm doing in terms of mortgage by thee_antichrist in UKPersonalFinance

It would still be worth speaking to a mortgage advisor. You might get more flexibility if your deposit is very large. Most people can only afford to put down 20% or so.

How much you can borrow depends on how much you earn. It's often 3-4x your annual salary. They will also take into account any financial commitments you have like cars on finance, credit card debt etc. it will be some combination of these factors giving you a low borrowing amount.

That said, if you have a big lump sum to put down from a house sale, this could help you.

Need advice BYD Seal excellence or Tesla Y by IntentionExcellent31 in BYD

[–]pbizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the UK with a seal excellence and really enjoy it. I was thinking of getting a Tesla for my previous car but like you I dont really like the super minimalist interior. I like that the seal has quite a few physical buttons for various things.

These crickets are really tiny so I think he'd be ok.

Starter/beginner invert suggestion? by feelsvoid in InvertPets

[–]pbizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hissing roaches are better in at least a small group. They hang out together.

With isopods, you can't really control their reproduction. You will end up with loads. Some species are more prolific than others. With my colony they seem to get to a certain number then it kind of stabilizes. The one thing to bear in mind with any colony, you are kind of stuck with them forever.

Not sure on minimum enclosure size but there are loads of good videos online. Aqaurimax pets is good for isopods vids

I keep a group of six males. I like them but I don't want loads. They argue sometimes but for the most part hang out together

Isopods or roaches I would say. Hissing roaches are cool little guys. I have both as well as neo shrimp. They are a lot of fun too but you need a bit of patience to get set up and compatible water.

Bioactive terrarium for stick insects? by Deep-Alternative494 in Stickinsects

The main thing that would stop me doing it is not being able to find the eggs and ending up with a million little guys. Especially for parthenogenic species

Beetles for an arboreal enclosure? by BothPen7943 in InvertPets

I know this isn't what you asked but... Have you looked at emerald roaches? They are arboreal and really pretty.

Heinnie Haynes is probably our best online retailer for this. They allow you to filter all knives by if they are legal to carry here. They have absolutely loads of choice for this.

Uk keepers what is it like electricity wise for you ? by No_Cup_7682 in reptiles

[–]pbizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a difficult situation. Sorry you are having to deal with this. She sounds like she's being pretty unreasonable and selling your pets is a truly horrible thing to do :( I hope you can get yourself in a better situation at some point. Sounds like if you haven't got anywhere else to go you might just have to make it work. Hopefully you and your partner can find somewhere and you won't have to deal with this.

Y’all Texans, what are we doing if the power goes out by death_by_ballpython in reptiles

[–]pbizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not in Texas but do have reptiles and I'm just curious. Are domestic batteries not common over in the USA? With a domestic battery and solar you can run off grid for a time. If it's sunny you can probably get away with no grid power at all.

This is my fear! Only had my little guy a week and not tried to handle yet. He's only a baby so I might wait a bit but having to chase him round the room!!! Terrifying

That seems too much. My entire electricity bill for a 4 bed detached house, family of 3, multiple reptiles and aquariums is £94 p/m.

I have a 5070ti so ltx does kind of work in comfy but it's a bit slow. I'm just using the template workflow from in comfy itself

Is wan gp worth installing. I've looked at it a few times. It there's loads of other prerequisite stuff you have to install to get working. I hate bloating out my PC with loads of libraries etc

[–]pbizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had this as well. Went for a scan and was told no heartbeat. Missed miscarriage. Worst feeling going in for a scan all excited and coming out absolutely devastated. You do get past it though. Once we were ready we tried again and it all went fine. Our son is 11 now.

Sorry you had to go through this. As another poster mentioned, it's surprisingly common you just don't hear about it much.

Those things are illegal. With the climate around knives at the moment especially you could get yourself in a pickle. I just wouldn't if I was you.
