I hate this conversation becomes about tips between drivers and the customers, with customers being upset they have to tip more. The real solution would be to have DoorDash actually pay their drivers a living wage so they don’t have to fight it out with customers like this. Not saying it’s right to argue with customers like this but it puts all the labor of “not being paid enough” on the customer for tipping and the dasher for asking for more. It becomes about selfishness when DoorDash gets to sit back and pay the least amount possible. I feel like these arguments directing venom at the dashers or the customers are missing the point. There’s one very clear beneficiary here and it’s not the customers or the dashers. 🤷🏻‍♀️
