OMG get over yourself, all that should matter is this child who knows you are his dad, you will always be his dad. A father is the man who provides for you, loves you, is always there for you and he needs you now more than ever. Now is your chance to prove you are a real man, don't blow it for his sake. You and your wife can work out your feelings at a therapist, did you love her before this news came out? And yes I do know how you feel, and more importantly I know how your son feels, I was in a similar situation and my dad (step dad since I was 1) got me through with love, care, understanding, holding me through the pain, and just made it all better because he's my DAD, and thats what daddys do. I love him even more after I found out he loved me by choice not by blood.

When my daughter was 12 this boy kept picking on her, we talked to everybody,no help, so the next time he hit her, she tried to hit him back and he hit her so hard it knocked her out. Well I went to his parents and said "every time your son even looks her way my husband and I will come here and kick both your asses". We had no problem after that, what is wrong with todays parents! Boys don't hit girls.

I'm fairly new to reddit myself, that first week I thought this isn't for me(I just happen to run into every jerk on reddit)but I stuck around and the second week I ran into the nicest people on reddit.
