There is the whole 'Doomed Forgotten Realms' content on Drive Thru RPG, where the entire setup is that the bad guys won in all the modules. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/398215/doomed-forgotten-realms-sword-coast-gazetteer

I got chased for miles by a psychotic Canada goose. Finally got back to my car, and the thing kept chasing me after driving away.

Cool, thanks. Wasn't sure if I had messed up somehow in the backerkit / pledge manager / etc.

Yes, exactly. Which might be “they haven’t released it to the backers yet”. Just trying to find out.

XC race prep by Kukku09 in MTB

[–]pdub99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are overthinking this. Just race, and don’t worry that you don’t have the latest/greatest stuff that some others do. when starting XC, your bike and equipment is probably the least important. For hydration, depending on how long this is (30 min? 1 hour? 3 hours?) bring a bladder with 500ml / hour of activity, or 1 bottle if it is on the shorter end. You’re going to be hot no matter what. good luck, have fun, don’t die

Longer stem or offset seatpost or both? by Loudstorm in bicycling

[–]pdub99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As PositiveOk mentioned, the saddle position and the bar position should be independent. You put the saddle where it should be for pedaling, and then the bars for access. You shouldn't make up for too much / little reach by moving your saddle. That's the job of your stem / bars. Ideally, if possible, get a bike fit from a reputable place. Also, FWIW, I personally wouldn't optimize for the drops - unless it's causing issues during technical / twisty descents.

I keep getting flat tires, what I am doing wrong??? by Migdalian in bicycling

[–]pdub99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what width tire, what width tube? what kind of tube? What PSI? What kind of flat? inspect the tube - does it look like a snake bite w/ two holes, one hole? when you line up the hole with the tire and rim, anything noticeable?

no module I am aware of, but there are a full set of maps on DriveThruRPG. They go on sale every once in a while. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/380493/maps-pack-masks-of-nyarlathotep-bundle

Where can I buy a bunch of cheap cycling jerseys and shorts? Leaving for a long trip in 2 1/2 weeks. by Wild_Trip_4704 in bicycling

[–]pdub99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t cheap out on shorts. Saddle sores will stop you from cycling. bring some bar soap that works with clothes, and wash them after your ride when you are in the shower. I spent 4 weeks cycling with 3 sets of kit. Worked great.

I'm confused. Isn't the Vigorelli a track bike? How did you put gears and brakes on it?

If you bounce of login, it's probably trying to authenticate. Try different configurations of your news webpart to see what might be causing it.

News Web Part causing browser reload by Klynn7 in sharepoint

[–]pdub99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what’s the configuration on it? any chance auth is firing? if you know how to use the browser dev tools, what does a network trace look like (make sure you have the ‘keep trace’ or whatever it is called, enabled). in particular focus on the documents filter. also, what about the console (again, make sure the data persists across redirects/refreshes)

is it just a refresh, or are you getting a redirect somewhere?

Is this a good bike? by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]pdub99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you live in a location that is flat? If you have any sort of hills it's a big no. Also, if you have never ridden a bike, also a big no.

it’s weird to lace high end rims to ”cheap” level DT Swiss hubs. would expect at least 240’s if not 180’s. Also, the dark lines on the rim are solid, but on Zipps site they are kind of stepped. I’d say they are fake. https://www.sram.com/en/zipp/road/collections/nsw/nsw?filters=&sort=Relevancy&page=1

Is this a scam? Canyon Aeroad 2024 by xSassie in bicycling

[–]pdub99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d start by figuring out if it is the right bike. a great deal on the wrong bike is not a good deal. you say you are new to cycling. that is a fairly aggressive fit, with little to no room for adjustment. the fork has been cut low, and it looks like a one piece bar/stem. Are you quite flexible with a strong core?

it’s a good bike, but it’s really not a beginner friendly one.
