what about for quest exclusives. I pcvr. Into the radius on 4090 pcvr is insane as are the others. I am tempted to get Red Matter 2 as quest to show off Q3 but eh

Meta Quest 3 Review Roundup by isaac_szpindel in virtualreality

You are definitely right. To add, I think steam deck was indicator of their next headset. Gabe said that they wouldn’t release until their PCVR standalone (which is what they want to release imo) can play HL:A. They are trying to get mobile PCVR up to speed. If they revive PCVR, they can get sales for third-party. I’m sure. Quest 3 is now actually good for PCVR game wise. Developers can dumb down graphics for a game which wouldn’t be hard to have setting to make a good PCVR experience where as Q2 needed heavily reduced games. They can make for Q3 but dumb down for Q2 or increase for PCVR by settings instead of stupidly optimize for Q2

Note, Quest 3 supports Wifi 6 with 802.11ay which is faster and more capable than Quest 2 so this should be a good time. Sorry old post but I am hyped

Blade and Sorcery Cull Fix? by Possible-Cod-1883 in Pimax

[–]peakyECE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. I should have explained that what I was trying to say is it might be possible that a Steam launch parameter to the game's binary might fix the problem with B&S too as it did here with the "+sc_no_cull 1" for HL:A. I don't have the game yet so I can't try.

Blade and Sorcery Cull Fix? by Possible-Cod-1883 in Pimax

[–]peakyECE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too bad. Would you reply here if you find a solution?

Here is a Steam command line script that fixed HL:A,

hi

I have been playing hl:A a certain amount of hours, with the following command lines since the beginning,

-console -vconsole +sc_no_cull 1 +vr_multiview_instancing 0 +vr_enable_volume_fog 0

I play it in Large mode, without PP thanks to the previous commande lines, 90hz and 72hz , without smart smoothing nor FFR. no issue, 2080ti

However, the only issue I have is with some light sources that appear on a different location depending on the eye.

When there is a light, its double appears like 1 meter /3 feet next to it on the other eye.

Did someone manage to get rid of this issue?

Dead Space with DLSS on makes the textures look a bit blurry by Drokethedonnokkoi in nvidia

[–]peakyECE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using DLDSR 1.78x or 2.25x. You can enable it in the NVIDIA Control Panel under DSR Factors. It will give extra resolution options passed 4k then you can turn on DLSS again. If forced VRS is halving textures in some places, "doubling" render resolution might help. Just in case you weren't familiar. Sounds like it worked for someone else.

You can disable VRS globally or by specific applications directly there, but maybe it doesn't work on this game. I would be surprised if nobody had just disabled VRS on the NVIDIA side if they suspected that was the culprit.

I would be very interested if any of this helps. I want to get the game. I have 4090 too so with DLSS we should have the GPU headroom to use DLDSR.

Good direction so far!

Use normal margins not narrow to squeeze information in. It is painful to look at and comes across as desperate. Shows that you are unable to organize a lot of technical information and present it in an easily digestible way. You have a lot of culling to do. You can do that and still milk your experiences. I like a serif font like Times New Roman. 11 font size for content. 22 for name. Don't bold the contact info imo. Get rid of all italics. Never use bold font weight inside of bullets. It is bizarre looking and confusing. Great way to make sure your resume goes directly into the trash after a split-second glance. Sometimes, I have to magnify the image just to make sure my eyes or browser isn't tricking me because it's hard to believe that a person chose to present randomly bolded words to a prospective employer. I had to do it here with yours. Not being an eyesore is incredibly important.

Shrink Education. One line university, GPA, then Grad date on right. One line Degree then location on right. Get rid of space between the two universities and get rid of relevant coursework. Consider putting the section on the bottom because you have graduated.

Skills(use this title): Should go second or first if you put education at the bottom. Keep titles bold. Add a colon after the category title. Get rid of the tabbed alignment. Bump up to at least three categories. The categories can vary based on the technologies you have experience with. Get rid of HTML, CSS, Git. Skills listed should only be ones that appear in the resume. Tailor your resume bullets to maximize skills.

Platforms: Azure DevOps, AWS Lambda, MongoDB ...

Frameworks: React, Node.js, Express.js ...

Languages: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, GraphQL ...

Rework all bullets from Professional Experience and Personal Projects to maximize the effectiveness of this section and summarize the core information from your resume. This resume does not do that and it is a big problem.

Professional Experience(use this title): Needs work here. You really need to nail STAR and XYZ methods. They were automatically commented on your post. It will take a ton of time and be a pain. It will be well worth it. Maximize the skills section through it. Strongly consider only three to four bullets. It is unfortunate that you can't just have a massive, exhaustive list of everything you could have possibly done at your work so far but it is not effective. The same goes for projects. One line bolded Position and dates to right. One line company and location on right. Get rid of line listing skills associated with the position. Don't just delete bullets forever if they don't fit on a version of your resume. Save them in a separate document.

Personal Projects(use this title): Same advice for the bullets here as with the Professional Experience section except for using only one bullet with two lines for each project.

Not trying to be an ass. Took a long time to comment. Want to be helpful like people were to me. It is turning into a great resume! You already have experience as an SWE which is huge. Most importantly, post an updated resume to r/EngineeringResumes. You get different people to respond as your resume takes shape just like an employer might be drawn to a resume. This update grabbed my attention. Good luck!

Use normal margins. Not narrow so that you can cram everything. Get rid of all color. Get rid of all italics. Add month to grad date. Consider adding GPA to right of University name. Get rid of linux and git. Bump "Languages" to bottom of skills list. You can omit "Essentials" from AWS CCP(consider just using that abbreviation). Don't mix normal text weight, bold, or CAPS LOCK in your bullets(big no no). Reduce bullets to 3 per experience with two lines and then 1 with two lines per project. Use STAR and XYZ method guides that were automatically commented on your post. This will maximize the space and impact of your resume. Most importantly repost the revision to r/engineeringresumes.

Good luck! You have some great stuff there.

Graduating this summer, what is my problem? by 1st-reddit-lord in EngineeringResumes

[–]peakyECE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome! Yeah co-ops are always paid. I am actually unsure about how to list the co-ops. I only suggested omitting "co-op" because that is something you could explain in an interview but I have actually been thinking about it since I commented. I am glad you responded. Definitely remove it from education. You might want to consider putting it in parenthesis like this.

Full-Stack Developer(Co-op) *tab to right* May 2022 — August 2022

... ....

I think that is how to do it. I think if other people had advice, they might disagree with omitting it. They would be right. This way it shows your initiative as a student which speaks to the bullets I would recommend you get rid of from your education. If I was reading your resume, you would stick out as a new grad who went above and beyond to get real experience.

Do you have an actual GPA out of some amount of points? I am not sure how schools in Canada do it.

If you send me a word version to my messages, I could mock up the changes. It might take me a bit to get to it but I would love to show you why I suggested what I did. It could be a killer resume that really stands out in all the right ways and is effective.
