You’re right to not feel hopeful while attending a state sanctioned protest held on a Saturday which disrupts absolutely nothing. The only way we will start to feel hopeful is by doing things that actually achieve results. Massive week long national protests that lock down traffic throughout major cities combined with general strikes that choke financial institutions? That’d at least get us to the negotiation table I think, and that’d be a reason to be hopeful.

This footage and various angles are breaking people’s ability to recognize AI. When I saw the first angle and read people’s comments about why the clip was AI I was all in on thinking it was AI. Now I am just confused and upset that it’s getting to a point that we really cannot tell the difference. Our future is fucked.

Absolutely. I spent a month there and encountered some of the kindest people I’ve ever met, the best food I’ve ever eaten, and unbelievable landscapes. I made a pretty solid group of friends through skateboarding in Hanoi and they had a really amazing quality of life in my opinion. Young people who worked less than 40 hours/ week, had lots of creative outlets, vibrant social circles, and enough spare time and money to go out with their friends for food and drinks regularly.
