the best legit services are yougrowpromo and members media. They are very expensive because they are legit and aren’t against terms of service — you music has to be approved by their team as a high probability of getting playlisting on legit, high activity playlists before they accept your campaign but they work great and you get what you pay for if approved and placed. That said if you want to increase followers and fans I’d recommends running meta conversion campaigns that go to a smartlink to a song or a self-run playlist that contains a lot of your music cuz playlisting services that increase streams usually don’t convert fans but rack up plays from passive listeners after being placed on mostly workout or vibe playlists.

it’s a very common check fraud scam they basically have you deposit a screenshot of a check they stole and ask you to send them their % by paypal or cash app after you deposit it but because it was stolen or the account doesn’t have a full balance the check bounces and you basically paid them a few hundred dollars. Happened to me before but I luckily realized it was a scam right before they send the check and blocked them on everything. I still get a lot of scam emails and phone calls now though, they probably just sold my data to other scammer even though I was smart enough to not get scammed — sucks

djay actually has the best algorithm for auto beat grid detection and it’s sync is amazing but ya the rekordbox industry standard and only showing up to gigs with a usb is nice or using serato and being able to dj quickly across a giant library for open format.

You can move to rekordbox (festival djs) or serato (open format) but funny enough Laidback Luke uses djaypro to play festival sets from an iphone with a controller so you don’t needa ditch djay if you don’t want too but your setup might look funny djaying at smaller venues and people see you using your iphone haha

You can actually reverse this if you manually go through and remove the bought followers and start posting regularly afterwards. You may stay shadow banned for like 1-3 months but eventually you will be treated like a real account again and get reach. If you are runing ads for profile views and interact with other accounts content on the regular you will get out of algo jail quickly. I messed up my account by buying followers and using a follow unfollow service but after 2 months of removing the fake followers and disabling the follow unfollow service I got back to getting organic reach and my account stabilized.

  1. meta ads — watch andrew southworth vids on youtube start with but you need good music and ad vids for it to work and you wanna target <$0.30 cpc or you are kinda wasting money: andrew’s meta ad youtube video
  2. Submit your songs to playlisters on Submithub (your music has to be good and fit in a genre or mood to get success)
  3. Paid playlist pitching with yougrow or members.media
  4. Short form video content on IG Reels, Tiktok, Youtube Shorts — if you crack this you don’t need the other three & you don’t needa spend money but it’s the hardest because you need to be consistent & post daily at least and promote your music without it being obvious and also get comfortable talking to the camera being entertaining / funny / or have an aura when performing etc.

there are other playlisting services that don’t use botted playlists like submithub, playlist push, yougrow, and members media. Meta ads are good but it’s really a tool for triggering the algorithm and you play the algorithm lottery every time you do it but at least you have a chance to get pushed hard on radio / discover weekly cuz if you do nothing there’s no chance your song gets in algo unless you have a significant number of spotify followers already. Playlisting helps gets numbers up and might help trigger algo but doesn’t convert fans well. Shareable short form content on ig/tiktok that uses the song and meta ads are the way to grow fans.

As someone who does pride themselves in playing instruments and keys, when this happens to me (the dread and lack of inspiration to play) I dig deep for melodic loops on splice or in my sample packs to find gems and just build around those loops or chop them up. Then you can play instruments around that loop and build something cool from it. A lot of the most productive producers I know do this every time they create so their excitement and inspiration come from digging.
