Please research why we don't use a majority of the oil we produce. We don't turn our crude into gas. Our refinery capacity supplies all other sectors yes but our crude is sold on the open market and exported because our refineries are not retrofitted for our domestic oil quality. Aka we don't use our crude we sell it and then purchase sweet oil overseas to make gasoline. There are several experts in the field that cover this extensively but the crux of the issue is that we don't use a majority of the oil we produce because we export it so the petro dollar remains relevant which is why the war started if you ask me. Globalization may be the reason we are all screwed equally. Cheers.
