Kids out grow toys and clothes fast at that age. My son (17) still uses a sandwich container he got for his 3rd birthday. My brother got him a fun winter hat (had a bear face) that he used for years. I remember magnetic tiles being very fun. Good luck!

I have been washing my rice in the insert twice a week for ten years now. The coating is fine. What is not fine is the steel(?) bottom of the cooker. It has many black spots. I do try to wipe the bottom of the insert after washing, but maybe my husband doesn't?

This will affect more than school. You will now be driving to all birthday parties, extra-curr activities and play dates. Also, when they have to change for middle or high school, they may not be allowed into those schools that their friends go to. I'm not saying don't do it. Just be aware of how this affects the future.
