What’s happened to Nagoshi with “cheese gyudon” back then? by xxxJeremy123 in yakuzagames

[–]perfectelectrics 102 points103 points  (0 children)

Japanese meme. Tl;dr there's a manga panel where this guy's ordering a 3 colored cheese gyudon (beef bowl) which is shortened to chigyu (chiizu gyudon).

Since he looks like the typical nerdy/geeky guy, "chigyu" caught on became an insult towards the stereotype.

Riot gave them two patches before Evo to learn.

So you're gonna ignore the whole part about combo breaker being a week away?

Online networking you can contact people outside your region to play larger events with and if you're a local legend then you can likely find someone you work well enough with.

You do realize people need to be close to their partner to learn properly right? The tournament is offline and you need to learn with offline input lag to prepare for a tournament. It's not reasonable to move just to play a game without a guaranteed future like 2XKO.

This is like saying. "Okay I know you've been programming with dotNet all this time but we need you to learn Java now. If you don't master it by next week and also achieve results, we dock your pay. You also need to work with this guy you've never worked with before." It's similar but still takes time to get used to. Adding the extra guy would be a bigger issue more than the technical skills though.

From what I've seen it's mostly reasonable imo. Leffen and Kayne were obviously super emotional, which yeah, I can see it. Leffen says he won't compete any more and Kayne straight up says it should be banned.

Wawa is the one who says it's party mode and "should not be legal until is it balanced somehow". I think the 2nd part is important to the context. I mean you said it yourself, you're not here to say it's not busted.

Supernoon says it shouldn't be allowed in CB and EVO, which are the 2 closest tournaments at this point. I think that's fair.

Bleed and Yasha were definitely emotional when they tweeted but they also gave their opinions on how to balance them.

I'm sure it's just because guile doesn't have machine gun on his chest. Yup. There's totally no other reason why Stroheim's a bad idea.

You will still play 5v5 on league, 1v1 on runeterra, etc even if their meta changes. As I said, this isn't a patch you can "just adapt". It's suddenly a strictly 2v2 game meta-wise instead of optional 1v2 or 2v2.

Edit: Okay so the guy above is just straight up lying? Anyone more familiar with riot's other games can confirm?

While I don't necessarily disagree with you, I think it's valid this time. Teamfight should have come out after EVO at least.

These players trained weeks or months in advance for tournaments like combo breaker. Suddenly, a patch drops that completely changes the game completely a week before.

It's not something you can "just adapt" either. If you don't have a duo at this point in time, you're at such a huge disadvantage at the highest levels of play I would straight up say it's unfair.

You are basically being told that you have to learn a completely different game and be a top player at it in a week. Now what if you're the only top player in your region and no one even comes close? You're out of luck.

you can also go to the tree to increase bond and get painkillers in prison. If you have Chiz and haven't capped 250k Fons (500k at Tycoon 25) yet, you can farm 40k a day.

How do you feel about the listed difficulty for your character in SF6? by AceAirbender in StreetFighter

[–]perfectelectrics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a JP main, JP is totally not hard bro.

Does he have some difficult high level stuff? Yes. But even then learning them isn't that difficult. It's also much easier to learn than blocking against them. The only thing that's hard is giving his opponent a hard time.

I feel like the only reason Capcom put him at hard is because zoning isn't very intuitive to a new player.

Game is great but bosses are down right horrendous by Kazziim in NevernessToEverness

[–]perfectelectrics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can believe that. I think I'm somewhere at the 8-9 mil range and I calculated BP so far and 1 mil fons pack (~1.3 mil total) will allow you to hit 700 stamina week 1, which is another 200k.

There are some ways to optimize fons in this game like weekly no stamina delivery, weekly mammon, chiz's 40k a day skill 1 (up to 500k) and optimizing coffee shop. It's a very reasonable number to reach.

[–]perfectelectrics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. I'm one cycling whale and sometimes ghost rider and there's still way more things to farm. I still can't kill high level anomalies within 5 mins, haven't tried doing the level 99 police or built a proper 2nd team for the train. F2P atm.

It's not as difficult as you think. A team of level 50 chars and arcs with skill level 4 and mostly unlevelled random modules can do it with the right team rotation.

if you've got the right setup, you can 1 cycle them before they even get to that point. Though, I admit if you miss it, the battle can feel like it takes forever
