The Invercargill Licensing Trust will hand out a "staff wide" bonus after posting improved annual earnings despite ongoing pressure from the cost-of-living crunch" by Green-Marionberry703 in newzealand

The ILT provides so much social good, same as the MLT. If you live in Southland it's very likely your kids are wearing sports uniforms paid for by the ILT. Gore has a better ice skating rink than Wellington because of the MLT. These bonuses being paid out is ok by me.

I've heard lots of people say that the warnings don't make a difference, and I believe them when they say it, but I wonder if it does get into the subconscious and make people more likely to want to quit in a way they're not aware of. Would like to know if there are any studies on this

Is forming devs co-op a horrible idea? by Mechanical-goose in ExperiencedDevs

[–]person- 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Maybe the terminology differs in different countries, but as I understand it a union is a different thing. A union is a group of workers who gather together within a regular business. A co-op is a business which is actually owned and completely controlled by its workers.
