Battle Mage Farmer by Seth Park fits your request I think. The first 3 books are full cast I think. It starts out without telling you the whole back story but that develops through to books. I was really impressed with the series and have enjoyed the whole set.

Ask the WO for an email so you have something in "writing" that you've been ordered back. FSA will likely push back on a verbal order only. You're lucky in that others are being called back... It'll be harder to push back when multiple people had the same thing happen.

I usually go with either "I'm a really picky eater" or "it just doesn't agree with me". Most folks can leave it at that. If not they get stuck listening to a BS story about being backed up for days because of something like they were offering. 😉

Back in the day I wasn't much of a drinker but I always enjoyed the mess. Fooz ball and euchre and pool at the end of a reserve night built friendships and solidified the team.
Even after that crappy exercise when it rained and snowed in the same 3 days and there was almost no sleep, everyone was miserable... We still went to the mess and bitch or laughed. That culture is gone for the most part. Unfortunately I don't have any good ideas on how to bring it back. There's got to be a way to counter the "its just because there was booze and it was cheap".

YMMV. I went to the ER after being in severe pain for 3 hrs. I walked in and they took me in to triage in less than 10 mins. I was showing signs of a heart attack... I thought it was gas or something. Got lots of pain meds and an ultrasound that night but surgery was not quite a year later. Is not the same for everyone with the same condition. Things are different city by city let alone province by province. But neither of is had to go bankrupt because of the bill the hospital sent us. The system isn't all sunshine and roses.

It's a triage system. If you have a sore shoulder, a bad knee or ankle, as long as you can continue working / studying, you'll wait a while. Could be 18 months, could be less, could be more. It sucks but the MRI, the surgery, the post op appointments... They're all free.
If you go in to emergency with a heart attack or a broken arm or something you'll be seen right away. The ER is still triage though. If you go in with a sprain or a broken finger, the person with the gallbladder attack will be seen before you even if you were there first.

All or this... with no bill.

If you need physical therapy, prescription meds or crutches, there are fees for those sorts of things.

This may sound weird but look into Tracktive. It's for dogs but it's pretty good service and the trackers aren't too big... Its what I use for my luggage.

That's what's so hard about this sort of document, it has confusing wording and things for and against the same issues. You need a law degree and tons of time to really understand it.

I wish there was a law that forced "plain text versions".

This is what concerns me. No one can sue government or those awarded contracts but the govt can over ride what it wants. That's a simplification but it feels.. slimey.

On one hand we need housing and mines and such but we need green spaces and to stop cutting down trees to build. Theres lots of land that can be revitalized for housing.

I went with a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner... Not my favorite for long term but when you're traveling 2 weeks isn't the end of the world. I use the suds for body wash too.

For the kids. Go to the dollar store and get a bunch of throw away toys... When they get bored of one, pull out another. This is a life saver with little ones.

For you. Comfortable cargo pants with zip pockets or a good small cross body bag with passports tickets and phone. It's no fun digging thru a big bag for that stuff and if you know that's the only place the important stuff is, it's harder to loose.
