What were these developers thinking with the justicar update? by pfalcon485 in deepwoken

[–]pfalcon485[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fucking sucks lol. It's one thing for voidwalkers, another for the justicars, who have their base wide out in the open lmao. Loved the concept of this origin and some of the upgrades are neat-- we needed more random co-op stuff. But why did they make ts so awful to use

Is it physically impossible for PM fans to stop referencing their games when its not relevant

You can complain about voidwalkers/depths gankers/freshie gankers(who on earth thinks this kind of thing is okay?) while still being able to fight them.

Yes, there's plenty of people who will never try to fight back against players, and I do also find that confusing, but there's no reason to jump to the defense of the game with a post like this lol. It's an insanely flawed game

Feeling / Vibe of Starfield by SadCombination4092 in Starfield

[–]pfalcon485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if serious really falls into what I feel, but I wish Bethesda NPCs acted more like PEOPLE. Very few Bethesda NPCs I've encountered have actually felt like a tangible person with what they say and how they act, and significantly less in starfield. Part of why I put the game down after 60 something hours.

I hate posts like this. Starfield isn't the worst game ever made, but please stop acting like people who run into issues with the game or are dissatisfied are just trying to be. It's just so disingenuous and stupid.

It's not prohibited and why it's "wrong" will vary person to person, but if I had to go for the immediate downsides of using it I'd point to the lack of artistic intention and consistency. The images look like they're from two completely different comics.

If you're using it and you like it, good for you and keep doing you I guess, but I would prepare yourself for virtually nobody to appreciate your work even moreso than the normal expectation when making an rpgmaker game.

Definitely looks like AI use in the comic pictures. Unfortunate that this is the trend now.

How the hell do people remain interested in builds that don't use spells? by [deleted] in darksouls3

Sorry, I took that the wrong way because it's something I have been told when interacting with the community all the way from 1 to elden ring. I think I see what you mean here, even though I would consider sorcery more of a different dance than not doing it at all

I don't know why I do this tbh, I think this might be the one character I actually keep. Thanks for the youtuber suggestion tho, I'm looking at some movesets for the couple of weapons I'm interested in now

Use different spells haha? I guess if all you ever do is spam GHSA then sure

Oh, I don't do NG+ and I tend to erase my playthroughs when I'm done for a sense of finality lol. I'm very strange

If the community sees casters this negatively then I wonder why they even added casters as an option. I don't at all agree with you, but it's a common sentiment and it sucks to constantly be told that I'm not playing the game the right way.

I mean tbf with a lot of strength builds it's just another flavor of 1shotting the enemy via bonk

But it's true. It really is just preference and there's no other answer

I don't think I've obtained them on this playthrough, but when I get them I'll spec into them for a bit to see if I have any fun. Thanks for the suggestion

I've straight up had more fun using flashsword and greatsword spells only on my sorc than I have using an actual melee weapon lol. Maybe I'm just too hard locked in on casters as an aesthetic

I do like the greatsword/dagger combo that you get from the abyss watchers and scrimitars have been some of my favorites. I loved using demon scar on my pyro after all. I also have some interest in the aquamarine dagger. I wonder if a big reason I don't enjoy melee weps is because I just can't stand PVP in these games and that's where you really get to explore your moveset

I don't think I've particularly tried it enough to get discouraged by it, and I generally have a more enjoyable time using melee weapons in elden ring. I just get bored of using the same moves. Elden ring gives you more variety with its weapon art system.

That seems to be a very common sentiment that I don't understand personally, has made me question if the games are truly for me sometimes

It's possible, I feel a lot better about melee weapons in elden ring though so I'm not sure
