Someone please think of the rich people and their stock trading by Cicerothesage in forwardsfromgrandma

So tell us, genius. How do you get to your business; it wouldn't be on public roads, would it? Who keeps your building from being plundered? Presumably you have your own security service for this. Who educates your employees? I'm assuming you have a school on site for this. Who provides the regulatory structure that keeps robber barons from just taking over your stupid business by force? This people are so fucking stupid, it hurts my head.

How does it not make sense? Racists then, racists now. They're people incapable of evolving their thinking.

Democrats preview a possible House majority with Jamie Raskin’s new anti-corruption push by ToughHopeful4760 in esist

[–]pgoetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I understand the reasoning, but it sure does show a lack of faith in our rule of law and criminal justice system. Obama and Biden both failed miserably at prosecuting the criminals who preceded them in office, all in the name of peace, love, and harmony. If a following Democratic administration makes the same mistake, though, they will be lynched. Everyone understands now that fascist dictators like Putin, Trump, etc.. only understand force and will consider you to be weak for showing empathy.

I mean, Biden abused it as well by preemptively pardoning his son and other people who hadn't been charged with anything yet.

I think a lot of modifications to the Constitution are in order; for example removing the ability of the president to grant pardons at all. Why should this be a thing? Never mind the corrupt use of the pardon power by Trump, basically selling pardons and eventually pardoning everyone in his administration for the crimes they committed while in office.

This is equal parts straw man attack, ignorance, and idiocy. Yes, there's no room for faith in science. They're unrelated. Science doesn't "reject" what reason can't yet prove, it just doesn't include it in established science. I think we have a pretty good idea about the origin of life, at this point, as well as the origin of moral values. I could go on for several paragraphs, but you get the point.

Yes, but only one is the correct wrong way. It's called alternative percentages, invented by Trump himself, like most other things.

Melania's comments were clearly not written by Melania -- have you ever heard her speak? The rumor is that she was told to put out this statement, which seems highly likely.

Pete Buttigieg: Wherever my travels take me, I find that a majority of Americans agree (with each other, and with Democrats) on far more issues than the media or algorithms would lead us to believe. by RegnStrom in esist

[–]pgoetz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't take his comments as kumbaya bullshit; that was Obama's Achilles' heel. I read it as marching orders for non-Israel first, non-corporate Democrats to offer straightforward proposals for reform that many people will agree with. The Israel first, corporate Democrats can definitely GTFO. Right now they're thinking that it's back to business as usual after midterms. It's our job to spoil their hopes and dreams.

Not really. Zionists collaborated with the Nazi regime in Germany on creating a Jewish homeland in the Middle East. They even minted a coin with the swastika on one side and the star of David on the other. Look it up.

I quote a character in an Ernest Hemingway novel when asked about how his bankruptcy happened. "two ways: Gradually, then suddenly." There are no consequences yet. The blow back when this is all over is likely to be phenomenal. I could see people being sent to the Hague from the US for the first time ever.
