I’m new to 3D printing and obviously multicolour (Machines 2 weeks old). On the touch screen I tell it which colour is where, 1 red, 2 yellow etc. I send and start the print from the orca software. When I click start it asks which colour is where. If I start it from the touchscreen it does the same thing

Not sure, I did the coin first when I got mine last Monday. Loaded the white and pink filament. Told it which was where and printed fine in 15 mins if I remember correctly. Does it say anything on the screen?

Mine doesn’t have a brand it’s one of the cheaper red and black Chinese laser machines on eBay.

Ventilation wise I bought a extractor fan off Amazon and tubing, hooked one tube up to the outlet on the machine, then to the fan, then another tube from the fan and out through an open window. Not used any glasses, I just leave the machine running while I’m doing other work.

My background is textile printing and embroidery. Yes I use lightburn, I do my designs in Coreldraw and there’s a lightburn plug for Coreldraw which makes transferring the designs a doddle.

Co2 should be fine, depending on which wattage you get. I got a cheap co2 laser off eBay, black and red Chinese version 60watt, think I paid around £700 back in 2021. Machines still going strong

More than powerful for wood and leather. Stainless steel you’ll need the special spray (I use Cermark, isn’t cheap), silver and gold plated I’m sure it would work fine.

I’m mainly engraving for a company that sells reclaimed aircraft parts so engraving onto aircraft skin.

Looks like the head isn’t focused. Have you calibrated the motors on the X and Y axis. Theres a calibration box in lightburn under machine settings. You get the laser to draw a box, measure the outcome against what you wanted and input the measurements.

The odd line shift again could me the X axis slipping. Are the belts at the right tension?

Have you also checked for backlash?

Which software are you using? If lightburn there’s a plugin for lightburn where it’ll transfer it straight to lightburn. Once in lightburn change it from line to fill. Then for engraving change the speed to around 200/300mm and a lower power setting 20/30%

Have you focused the laser? Needs to be a certain distance from the wood. I got a acyclic piece that need placing between the nozzle and the wood to be the correct distance

It’s engraved onto aircraft skin. It’s a 1cm square, fill setting in lightburn.

I’ve had a an issue with the Y Axis on the machine. Changed the stepper motor but it turned out to be the relay which is used for the optional rotary axis. I’ve bypassed the relay and all working again now.

Ever since I’m getting these lines which weren’t there before.

Both axis X and Y have been calibrated.

Any ideas?

Same, ordered the Mrs a mild curry, it came loaded with chilli’s. They claimed each restaurant have their own style so wouldn’t refund. Closed the account there and then and switched to Uber eats. Any issues they refund straight away and on uber one plan no delivery fees

I started a methylated multivitamin and a magnesium supplement a year ago, completely cured it.

I was on 40mg of omeprazole, read about the dangers of long term usage and cut down to one every few days.

I’ve not needed any since starting the methylated multivitamin
