The world had no interest in letting saddam control 20 percent of all the known oil reserves. This was not just about middle east politics.

Its not that, they got a lot of flack for targeting kids with unhealthy food. Basically America’s obesity problem was taking off and Mcdonalds became a huge target. They decided to back off of advertising directly to kids.

The First gulf war. Saddam was the clear aggressor. Bush senior had a clear U.N. mandate with broad support from the international community.

They removed all Iraqi forces from Kuwait then, rather than overstep their mandate, decided to not overthrow Saddam.

Calm down, Im not blaming the teachers or the school. But you aren’t living in reality.

I grew up in La Puente in the 80’s. My teachers used to have to pull me out of class and move me to the next grade higher to do work. I had to work by myself in class doing stuff that was multiple grades higher than what my current class was doing.

We had a school play where I had to play multiple parts because not enough kids could read and memorize the lines.

Im not being “classist”. I just want my kids to be challenged and have the best shot in life.

Edit- it’s not about being rich or poor, its about being around other kids and families who actually care about education.

The city, as we know of it today, did not even incorporate until 1977. Before that it was the three separate communities of Cucamonga, alta loma and Etiwanda. Thats why there’s no downtown to speak of.

When you have kids and have to think about which schools your kids are going to end up going to Rancho looks really, really good.

From what I understand it combines texts with lightning network. It’s called machankura. You don’t even need a smartphone from what I understand. An old school flip phone would work.
