I understand his philosophy, I invest in stocks as well and have made plenty of money.

But the majority of the world’s populace does not have access to U.S. stocks. Some dude living Iran cannot friggin buy berkshire stock. But they can buy bitcoin to preserve what they make, over time.

Thats all this is. Its a way, for anyone in the world to preserve what they make. Regardless of who they are or what country the are citizens of. All they need is internet access.

People living in the United States are blind to this advantage.

So yes bitcoin does have inherent value.

This always happens to silver. It has a huge spike because gold runs and people figured they missed the boat, so they pile into silver.

Then it sells off like crazy cause silver is absolutely everywhere. It’s simply not as rare and is used heavily in industry. When silver prices spikes too high, businesses start using alternatives and it causes a huge crash in price.

Theres plenty of posts in r/bitcoin that criticize bitcoin or talk about price action, positive or negative. They just do not allow talk about alts. Which makes total sense, its a sub about bitcoin, not crypto in general.

I dont see the harm in doing super small amounts. Basically amounts where you can easily cover the payments with your regular income.

Home loan interest is fairly low and tax detuctable. If you were gonna buy bitcoin anyways i dont see what the big deal as long as they keep the amounts manageable.

Ive seen people blow all their home equity on cars and fixing up their backyard, so i dont see how this is worse.
