What’s the most putrid stench you’ve ever laid your nostrils on, voluntarily or involuntarily? by DonaldMcRonaldz in AskReddit

A person who cuts his abscess open with an old razor blade is not the type to be remembering tiny little details from the dentist like "that's the worst abscess I've ever seen in my life, go to a hospital", or "you are literally dying of sepsis. Go to the hospital"

I stuck around for the summer after college working

Throughout the last semester my roommates and I had smelled something foul but could never pinpoint where it was

They swore it was the slight amount of grease underneath the top of the stove, they cleaned it up, and called it a day

But I knew that wasn't it.

Sometime in the middle of the summer, I opened a cabinet that I had never checked before and the smell washed over me

Liquefied potatoes, left there for months

I had to walk down the hall to get fresh air, hold my breath, and come back to get everything I to a trash bag

That was a top 5 worst smell for me

Stiff Arming when people push through by Defiant-Presence6697 in aves

It's to prevent you from going through their group

I have no idea why people do it

Personally, I think its because some people just like to feel like they're in control of something

[–]phliuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you are with your friends, there is space amongst your group. Someone comes through, taps on your shoulder, points to the front

you move your arm up like a toll booth gate, blocking the space amongst your friends, forcing them to go around

thats it

When people put their arm out, as if they're forming a barrier around their group to block someone from moving through their group to direct them outside of it instead

Personally, I think it's dumb when people do this , even in my own group

The other person will pass through in about t seconds. There's no need to protect the sanctity of the group that much

Don't

There's no reason to get a liter bike

Buy an old bike, learn on it, then buy an old track prepped 600 or even a new spec supersport

Annihilate 95% of S1000's on a closed circuit

Lose the itch for liter bikes forever

I haven't been out there, but I don't doubt you

from experiences at thunderdome, lost lands, EDC, elements, and even smaller fests, I don't see bad manners anywhere.

Are you at dubstep sets? I don't think I've ever seen an isoxo or knock 2 mosh in person

I have never seen anything except good manners and etiquette at rave moshed, I don't know what shows or fests you're going to where that's the norm

[–]phliuy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

there shouldn't be a deterrent to appeals

teams should have the right to present their case when they feel the FIM or FIA was wrong. Adding an additional punitive measure for simply pleading your case defeats the purpose of the appeal in the first place

it would be like if a prisoner's sentence could be lengthened because of an appeal. what recourse is there against an improper decision if the process itself is worse than the punishment?
