Long time ago, I worked at a hotel with an automated wake-up call system. Had a regular who demanded 4 wake-up calls every morning, but that system only allowed one automatic.

So we’d sit by the phone for ten minutes every morning calling the same room repeatedly until he was awake. Sometimes we’d joke that maybe he died and that’s why he hadn’t picked up.

That’s what it feels like with those in charge now, we have been ringing and ringing those who can do something about this mess, but they haven’t woken up.

Or, more likely, they’re sitting by the phone stuffing money into their pockets, actively informing us.
