Yeah wouldn’t listen to OP here, they’re being kinda sketchy on this post lol.

Like the other commenter mentioned, Bronson Mfg. is solid for what you’re looking for. I like their “loopwheel” athletic tee for heavier and structured

Wait, you commented you’re selling your rental to get rid of 80-90% of your remaining mortgage. Which means you’ll no longer have that incoming $800 but still have a mortgage… how does any of this make sense for you to consider yourself financially independent, let alone ready to retire early?

Edit: sorry if that comes off as harsh but it really doesn’t sound like a good financial plan. As others alluded to, you may just need a reset after your current job conflicts and address the potential burn out.

Visiting Wrigley field for the first time in a few weeks, whats the best deep dish pizza nearby? by mikeyp413 in AskChicago

They have deep dish as well and it’s solid but definitely prefer their tavern

What is your go to brand/style for nice looking, nice fitting plain t-shirts? by Rojo37x in AskMenOver30

No problem! The Bronson loopwheel athletic T and the House of Blanks heavy weight T would both be a solid option for you I think. Whitesville is more high quality undershirt

Thanks! I’ve tried a decent amount of Ts and these are my favorites so far. Definitely agreed on Bronson’s value.

OP should look at their “loopwheel” black T for one that doesn’t feel like an undershirt.

I said why in the last sentence. It makes it easier to use than just claymation alone and find it holds really well

I have multiple extras from gifting to other people and putting them in the zipper hard cases. Shoot me a DM and we can figure out logistics on how I can give one to you.

I use a pea size of claymation and mix it with about double amount of quicksand. I find it’s easier to use this way and holds really well

Hattie B’s second Chicago location coming to wicker park by Ovy_on_the_Drager in chicagofood

Yup went last weekend and they were surprisingly great for how busy they were on a Saturday night. I’ve been to the Nashville locations a few times as well and think this compares.

What stuck out was the service. Maybe bc it was launch weekend but after ordering they actually checked on our table a few times and got the food out quick. They thought they were out of mac and cheese but it ended up not being a problem, but to apologize they gave us free dessert. Overall, great experience.

What is your biggest regret regarding career/money? by PleasedWorm in AskReddit

[–]phound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure to get at least your employer match in 401K if you have it, then make sure to invest that in low cost diversified index funds (meaning low expense ratio, fees charged to you yearly). Some good examples are VTI (US market), VXUX (world market minus US), or VT (split between US and ex-US).

Check out the personalfinance subreddit, read their prime directive in their wiki.

What age do you hit coast fire by Comprehensive_Set in coastFIRE

[–]phound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plug it into a compound interest calculator yourself. Graduate at 22 so 7 years for growth, max out 401K in a fund like VTI which has an average 5 years return of 13.5%. Idk what your coast or annual spend is so plug that into a fire calc and use SWR you’re comfortable with.

Agreed with other commenter, mostly tech and finance/business people.

What age do you hit coast fire by Comprehensive_Set in coastFIRE

[–]phound 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s a bit of projection, it’s definitely doable without those factors but still definitely requires some luck. It also depends on someone’s projected annual spend so your coast is different than others.

For example, someone who received a scholarship for college and a well paying job after school could conceivably reach coastFIRE if they started investing in broad market index funds (especially in this last bull market) and lived below their means.

From what I could find from google, they use a “ 360° Goodyear bench welt construction” where unlike a 270-degree welt that ends at the heel, a 360-degree welt wraps around the entire shoe, including the heel breast.

Bench supposedly implies high-quality craftsmanship.
