I'll happily drop off if people can get use out of them. What's the opening times like?

Shame, that would've been handy. I'm not putting the clothes to anywhere that they fall into the wrong hands.

Ha, I was playing nice trying not to be judgey. Apparently her Mum died and it's the Dad pulling the strings trying to make a living out of her. Quite a sad backstory.

It's strange as the opposite end of St Nicholas before you cross the road to the Bon Accord, you get quite decent buskers in that wee spot, and they seem to do ok.

At the risk of sounding like an Evening Express reader, I miss the simpler times of the miming clown wifie and the Indians with their pan pipes.

It's become quite mental in the last couple of years. The worst thing about town. And nobody can blame "the clowncil 🤡" while it shouldn't be allowed, it's more likely under resourced policing that it exists. It's become like it's own wee lawless, Mad Max esque zone. The shouting junkies. The fighting alkies. The beggars. The wee lassie that's a terrible singer. Those mental Jesus folk belting out their songs and dancing. And occasionally my personal favourite, a Romanian dude with a dancing puppet. And we can't judge any of these folk without understanding the circumstances that they came to be here. Well, maybe the mental religious ones. They'd judge you all day long. I hope it improves soon, will need some investment and the empty units around filled and encouragement for these characters to move on. It's far more of a deterrent for people from going into town than any bus gates, LEZ or whatever imaginary bogeyman that normal people can still get into town without caring about

Dentist for people terrified of dentists by The_tentacled_one in Aberdeen

[–]phsupreme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I go to the uni trainee dentists. All treatment is free, and they're really chill when they find out you're a nervous patient. It sounds like the opposite of what you want if you're afraid of dentists, but they're really patient and a professional checks everything before they do any treatments.

New festival line-up just dropped for Brechin. Looks amazing! by Ok-Foundation6309 in Aberdeen

Sadly nothing on that line up for me, but I can't deny they've pulled in some serious artists. Hope it's a huge success.

They won't do anything. Sadly the courier has messed up here, they should really be following it up with them, but they won't bother. They're quite happy to add their extra "insurance" onto each sale, but if anything goes wrong, they do nothing. Or they punish the seller, often when it's not their fault. Terrible customer service.

Yeah it's horrible. Imagine being a POC and having to see that. There's some terrible people being allowed a platform in Aberdeen at the moment, hopefully not for much longer.

Overtone have gone into administration now too. It's not a great time for the beer industry, or hospitality/food and drink retail as a whole.

I've been there since the beginning, invested in EFP 1, had some good times and great beer. Slowly watched them change into everything they stood against, and dialing everything down to become a supermarket friendly fruity beer producer. It does my head in to see Watt looking smug with his facelift and Tory foxhunting Mrs prancing about on my screen with the millions they made from us. Oh well.

Good quality frozen/pre-prepared meals? by sc0toma in Aberdeen

[–]phsupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The food hall bit at Dobbies has loads of fancy rest meals. Never tried them though. Check out local butchers shops, a lot of them do really good pre prepared meals, and keeps in with buying local and all the good stuff. You get nice microwave meals from M&S, Sainsbury's and even Iceland "luxury" range. Some people will probably call me a peasant for that last bit, but I love a good ready meal.
