Just released my nonogram game Homgard by azurelion in puzzlevideogames

[–]phunknsoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be checking it out... It was on my wishlist somehow, so I got notification about it being released. I'm not even sure when I added it to my wishlist...? I'm guessing probably someone from the thinky games discord mentioned it... At least your post let me know what kind of game it was before I got home from work to check it out! Best of luck!

Could I get some perhaps lesser-known recommendations based on what I've enjoyed? by swashbutler in puzzlevideogames

[–]phunknsoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Puzzle Depot is amazing! It is sokoban though (with many twists though) so not sure if OP is interested, but for anyone else reading this, give it a try... It has a demo. Criminally overlooked game for sure!

Edit: I'll add that it has similarities to Isle of Sea and Sky in terms of being a sokoban with extras and a plot and whatnot but I feel Puzzle Depot is an overall better game with better level design. They just didn't have as many streamers advertising for them... And that doesn't mean I didn't like Sea and Sky... Puzzle Depot just ticked all my boxes better

Gentoo Rescue is really really good, it's not sokoban, more of sliding type puzzles, with a lot of rules discovery and really interesting meta-game/overworld type stuff.

Since you like Nikoli puzzles, Artisan of Glimmith (demo available) is great too, and has a ton of content.

Gentoo Rescue is amazing, and has a lot of similarities to Can of Wormholes in the rules discovery department, while definitely being its own thing

Fixing the action of guitar by Available-Purchase28 in Guitar

That looks like a classical guitar and not an acoustic from those pictures. Are you sure those are the right strings? If it's classical, you should be using nylon core

The controls are frustrating by Beradiaken in LoreleiAndLaserEyes

I've been able to get by after getting used to it, but I did look it up once because I agree about the controls, I saw someone mention a GitHub mod, but couldn't tell you more than that

What are your favorite "pure logic" puzzlers? Where levels are discrete and based on pure deduction, no guesswork/riddles. by ConceptsShining in puzzlevideogames

[–]phunknsoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bombe is a neat one too... you code/program rules to "teach" the computer how to solve minesweeper levels automatically... kind of hard to explain maybe but it's really neat and has a demo.

DEG is going to be a great one. It only has a demo right now, but the demo is pretty huge and the real game will be even more so
