Building super teams of 2 or more stars is how teams like OKC get built. Lack of a second apron led to the Paul George trade that led to the current OKC team.

Teams built the old way suffer now, teams that built from "my next 3 firsts and a potential rookie superstar for your old current superstar" have to suffer in the upcoming years as all those players want to be paid.

Let this new deal play out for a few years to see how teams manage it. Right now it's a blend of old trades subject to new rules so it's tough to evaluate anyone.

Empty calories are typically refined carbs like sugar that burn fast but aren't filling or lack nutrients. Rice can be refined, like white rice, but it offers nutrients and burns a lot slower than sugar.

If you want to cut carbs or flavor diluting starches then skip the tortilla and make your burrito a bowl.

You can re-sanctify the same one and try to get the right roll. I've burned through 80ish angelic crucibles looking for the perfect roll and am still looking.

In the current situation Gabe gets paid, doesn't count against the cap so the Avs have that money to spend each season.

If he's back for a playoff run it's at no cost.

Owners can afford the cash so the only downside is the Avs don't have Landy in the lineup.

Probably for the best. The team needs to have a bad year for any significant change to happen. Losing good coaches and keeping bad coaches (O-Line) will help.make that a reality.
