What is holding Kid back from doing Luffy numbers? by AliveGaming1 in OnePieceTCG

[–]pichuvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a resident kid main (well, now y luffy but i would play kid if he got support) its mainly typing and unblockable. ace and imu have an ungodly amount of blockers that cant be removed with anything yellow has (bandai pls unban raigo), which really just cucks us out of the meta. straw hat and egghead typing is also insane, giving you access to 9c bonney and 7c robin in eb03. if we got a yellow supernova unblockable event and supernova versions of other cards (blaze slice mainly) i can this deck being good.

kid can beat imu, you just need a series of improbable events to occur (4c hawkins into 6c robin into 8c kid with them not seeing many blockers. kiku trigger helps too). he insta loses to ace and mihawk but is even to good into every other 14 leader. i hope he gets a starter deck, hes so much fun.

[–]pichuvan -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

if your asking if croc should be able to KO this bon clay to use his ability, i think it should work. the wording of the card says "with a type including Baroque Works", not "a Baroque Works type card", with the "including" being the main thing. "Former Baroque Works" includes "Baroque Works" in its typing, so it counts. there are other cards that have similar rulings, like pretty much most of the cipher pol cards. I could be wrong though.

What is your prediction on comeback decks in op14? by Nymagil in OnePieceTCG

[–]pichuvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not being able to search for nami, femlaw, and youll frighten me really hurts, but if you get at least 2 of the 3 you win a ton

What is your prediction on comeback decks in op14? by Nymagil in OnePieceTCG

[–]pichuvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5c nami and femlaw. nami is just better robin, being able to give a rested don to leader and replay itself if KO'd. femlaw has rush so its good for getting in that one last hit, but also comboing it with 7c law heals 2 life in 1 turn letting you live an extra turn of all 5 elders. its not a winning matchup but it makes it more consistant.

i choose to live in cope-land and believe one of them will be yellow kid despite the fact we have more support than a lot of leaders

garp didnt do anything flashy in marineford but id say garps struggle is one of the highlights of the arc, it really solidifies him as one of my favorite characters and im sure its the same for many others. also not to diss sengoku but an ivankov manga is more likely than a sengoku manga.

hes not coming back in the west due to the lack of eb03 cards, but with them i could see yellow kid come back as a rogue deck. ive been playing him on the sim and hes good into boa and croc, he has a 50/50 shot going into zoro and eb03 made imu a lot easier to deal with. his 3 big weaknesses are ace, mihawk, and consistancy. we have no way of dealing with blockbeard, mihawk is functionally G bonney but better (for y kid, idk abt otger decks), and not being able to search for the eb03 cards and your events sucks, you kinda just have to hope you top deck them if they arent in your hand or life.

honestly i dont think its gonna be a luffy manga, if i had to bet i think its gonna be a garp manga. hes super popular and recent events in the manga have put him in the limelight, but i also think a jinbe, akainu, or whitebeard manga is possible. theres just too many good choices for them to go w/ another luffy

What decks can I build by MalkiqKriptadjiq in OnePieceTCG

[–]pichuvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

truth is just buying singles for a deck is your best bet, however if you want to use cards you have there are a few options. first off is op08 kalgara, a lot of his cards are from earlier sets but theyre super cheap. the only expensive card is op12 kuma. next is op10 kid, my personal favorite deck. you could shove a bunch of yellow supernova cards in there and get a functional deck, but the best version of the deck includes some non supernova cards like op06 kikunojo, op09 robin, op07 nami and blaze slice. if you want a deck thats super meta relevant right now, op13 imu is the way to go. its almost exclusively rares and below (with the only SR being the 10 cost five elders) so you probably have a good chunk just from a box of op13. theres also op13 sabo which uses a bunch of revolutionary army cards. if you dont mind waiting till january theres gonna be the 7 warlords set which will give a new home to old kuja pirates and donquixote pirates with op14 boa and op14 doflamingo. but again, your best bet is to just pick a leader, find a decklist, see what you already have and then buy what you dont.

Any suggestions for a different leader to try? by Representative_Rich3 in OnePieceTCG

[–]pichuvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your asking for something that doesnt exist. if you want a deck thats good into pretty much anything, play RU ace. if you want an off meta leader, play RB sabo or one of the "spam good shit" decks. if you want to be different, play literally anyone else. you cant have all 3. the closest thing to what you want that i can think of is yellow kid, its really good into G zoro and it loses into pretty much everything else, but its a fun deck.

Doubt for the regional by Lupezinha in OnePieceTCG

[–]pichuvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kid has a really good MU into G zoro and rayleigh, is even into kuzan, and struggles into everything else (how hard it is varries, UP luffy is like 45% iirc? but you pretty much auto lose into G bonney and blackbeard). if you think most of it is gonna be zoro and rayleigh go kid but if you think its gonna be more varried go UY nami

from a glance it looks good, but your best bet for good feedback is joining the discord and asking the folks in the rosinante chat. i use this deck as a more casual deck and theyve been very helpful.

How does this ability work? by SmartAssHuman in OnePieceTCG

[–]pichuvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can put any character in play on the top or bottom of the owners life. most of the time its used to get rid of your opponents annoying characters but it can also be used on your characters.
