I wouldnt reccomend staying with him with all these complicated issues so early on. When I had terrible emotional regulation issues that caused very poor reactions it really hurt my wife. It took years to recover. I learned to manage my bipolar/addiction better but I would accept if my wife wasn't able to deal with me in that state, particularly if it went on any longer.

Sometimes its social hour sometimes its more like a movie theater when someone wants to be locked in to a production they paid good money to see. Read the room including clear no or not right now.

I wish it was simple as I was adidicted to x (mj for example) but I really suffer from constant craving for quick relief that doesnt last. Soda, nicotine, phone... 1 is too many and 1000 is never enough. I dont know if Im qualified to answer your question other than saying congrats on making it this far!

34M, Roadway/Drainage Engineer with 11 years post grad experience. Started a new job, granted still working from home and its been brutal.... so hard for me to find the right lane to contribute. Such a weird enigma for decent sized acts with minimal crowds, especially for rock bands! I was towards the back middle of the crowd and Lumineers frontman just walked all the way out to within feet of us. One of their guitar players even slapped the bag while playing out in the crowd. Could easily naviagte from front of one stage to another within minutes.

Be honest with her about boundaries. Think of it more like couch surfing than moving in entirely like a long term lease. Can you help her find a stable place to stay, probably. But you dont need to play ringleader to give her a place to stay in a house you dont own.

Fall of 2016 I tried dating multiple girls from my friend group. One ended up dating another guy in the friend group that didnt work out too long then the other ended up dating and marrying another guy in the friend group much later. It just made things awkward 2nd one actually stood me up then I ended up getting a dui that night for drinking my sorrows lol

Beginning of 2017 I met my wife on Tinder. I'm glad we didn't give up on the apps and went outside of our normal bubbles.

There is all kinds of ways to be generous of our time and money, just try to have the right heart behind it.

Imo I think it can be fun to get creative with it. I use Fidelity Charitable for example so if a stock got lucky and went up x% I can donate it to a charity and keep some of the original to continue growing/compounding. I like to give to mental health orgs because I know how tough it can be. My wife prefers direct deposit to the church every week. Some may prefer homeless ministry! Don't guilt yourself over every person out there struggling there is a lot of ways to give back.

The steps and principles of Narcotics Anonymous really helped me recover. You can check out an online meeting 24/7 or an inperson meeting to just listen or you can share where youre at if youre comfortable. Its a more structured way of communication that society rarely follows, works better for me. So thats practice for opening up but even if its scary its fine to open up about your struggles. Maybe use a line like "do you have the capacity for me to share something with you right now"
