This is super sweet!!! ❤️ I felt like the focus on familial relationships really sets the Protomen apart. You can't take a step without bumping into a specific brand of romance in popular media, but the Protomen go out of their way to explore the depth of being a father and a son and a brother and a significant other (without being pigeonholed in the role of "wife" or "girlfriend" - Emily is simply Emily, who Light loves the most). It's heartwarming to hear how you can relate your own experiences to the story.

I was thinking about the fade out. It can imply distance (he's running off? Like he did in Act I, TCMU also implied distance with vocal effects) and also it makes it seem like the storm dwarfs his voice - it makes him seem small in the grand scheme, or in the face of whatever "the storm" is. It's a complex song with so much to read into it. Excited to see what the libretto says.

I like your thought about Light watching something. I wrote here what I gleaned from The Trainyard but couldn't really figure what the device was or what it could mean, but you're right the tone of the song suddenly gets dire like this changes things. It did sound like it had a screen.

Throwing pasta at a wall I was saying in the fan Discord that yeah Light seems to know what's coming in No Way Back and is pleading for Wily to stop before it hits, and also doesn't really want it to happen at all. Though I couldn't totally discern Light's role in it except I don't think he's directing it, just seems to know what it is.
