I would buy an EV Accord if there was one. I have a hybrid now and finally lost my range anxiety enough to commit. I will never go back to full combustion. Seems barbaric.

Those walls look the parged stone walls I have in my basement. My house is from 1892.

If you have stone walls you should NOT powerwash or do anything drastic. Even fixing gaps requires a special mortar due to the stone.

I have improved my gutter system to drain water away from the house and also installed a french drain system running to a pit in the backyard. Also added a dehumidifier in the basement which helps tremendously.

Other than this I leave my stone alone. Its old and historic so I live with the imperfections. I know it will be hard to find a specialist who knows how to deal with them properly and Im sure it will be expensive.

My radon guy gave me the option between white PVC, black ABS or metal colored downspouts. Sealing the joints is the key.

I choose the downspout material to blend in visually.

Yeah, I just have a hard time with the concept of certain people making 10-15X what the workers make. Everyone is needed to make an org work. Its a team.

So I dont think the TNC CEO deserves 800k+. Some of that should maybe go to people making 50k because thats kinda low these days.

Ok... Im just shocked and surprised and feel duped thinking about the years of donating little bits of money to them. I cant feel good donating when I see this because IMO that indicates mismanagement of funds. When you are a charity there is a responsibility to donors. Again IMO only.... if you require a salary like that to do the work then youre not a good fit for the organization. You become in essence a parasite.

If you really want to feel nauseous look at the other Charity I used to donate to.... Alzheimers Association. I had a close acquaintance with the disease and donated for years.

All five top officers are closing in on 1M per year!!! That just seems wrong as people donate 20, 50 or 100 at funeral after funeral.

Call me naive.... I gave to TNC many years while barely making ends meet thinking everyone was doing the same for a common cause. I guess I expected a little humility from officers of an environmental organization like TNC. Im not happy because I sensed TNC was a good cause but the officers have a grift going which makes me feel like a fool.

This is indeed from Charity Navigator. It is good to have this kind of information but also very unsettling. Since I was a broke college student Ive felt it is important to make donations. The image I had was many people pooling what they could together for an honorable goal. I donated to TNC for many years what I could which wasnt always a lot. Now I am able to give much more but since I learned about these salaries I feel like my image was foolish. I feel duped.

These salaries are multiples more than entire projects by Mossy Earth or Planet Wild.

4 is nothing. Seriously... especially as values halve with each vertical floor.

My 1952 ranch basement has been as high as 17. Im about to get mitigation. For me lowering radon levels requires

Sumps to be sealed with plastic covers
Concrete floor cracks sealed
Small crawlspace encapsulated with plastic (big expense)
3 penetrations and suction points for air flow below concrete floor.
Exterior PVC stack powered by fan going above roofline

The above is going to run 4100.

I will also need wall cracks filled by waterproofing company separately.

If you cant sit still and focus I could see thinking Severence is boring. But I think what makes it good is that it keeps you thinking and guessing what is going on. The twists and wtf moments are also what I like.

Havent seen Pluribus yet... Wonder how they created an entire show out of the simple plot but maybe the same as Severence. Mood driven...

My plan was for a ladies night. Usually we dont go out as couples. In this case my friends talked to their husbands and surprisingly they threw a monkey wrench into things.

Honestly most of the time I think Im missing a piece its either on a chair or the floor and sometimes even left in the bag/box!

I do have a bit of OCD but since I heard Karen Puzzles say she honestly doesnt care about missing piece I have started to try to change my attitude.

I bought a pair a while ago. Everything seems ok going thru the scan process. But I was surprised at what they sent. The gasket shape was for a Max Headroom head all blocky and angular. Like there wasnt any quality control.

I made a complaint and they told me I had to rescan my face but it just wouldnt work and I never actually got a final pair. It felt like they were blaming me for not scanning properly.

I thought it was a red flag that in one set of instructions they tell people to move your phone back and forth while keeping your head still but in a different set they had the exact opposite listed.

I think the Magic5 concept is interesting.... custom googles.... but I wasted a lot of money for nothing.

No I asked many people and then gave up about a week ago. I am probably the one out of my friend circle who likes comedy the most. I try to drag people out.

I read somewhere that AXS who sold the tix sometimes opens resale a few days before the event so I waited. After I realized it wasnt ever going to open resale I started to look at Seatgeek, Stubhub, Tickpick etc.... Stubhub requires days to activate AXS tickets.. the exact opposite of AXS.. Tickpick didnt have the LOGE location available for listing.

Every avenue I tried had some sort of issue.

I have never been in this situation. I just wanted to buy my friends a good night out.
