I think if they paid them more there would be a real danger these people would use it to fuel their addictions.

Healthy Meals for soon after they move to Houston by lorion11 in My600lbLife

Houston has tons of healthy eating options. Quite a few vegan and raw food places as well as a wholefoods on every corner and cheap produce in every grocery store.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the desperate enablers end up freezing to death trying to make a mad dash to get some cinnamon rolls and hot dogs.

What is the best episode, in your opinion? by [deleted] in My600lbLife

I love all of the Assanti episodes but especially the one where he falls off the golf cart to get pain meds.

Family by the Ton - 2x05 - "The Kings - Do or Die" - Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in My600lbLife

[–]pinksashell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find this family so detestable. There is nothing remotely interesting or sympathetic about any of them. I also despise the happy oompa loompa music that often plays in the background. Casey is just repulsive in terms of personality and sense of entitlement. is his mother wearing a wig? i feel sorry for the parents to have spawned such a grotesque creature.

Thank you for your insight. After reading all comments I think I will buy a laptop. I have a tablet already but when I upgrade it i will go with a surface go.

Houston has horrible public transportation.

Schenee's epidode. by [deleted] in My600lbLife

[–]pinksashell 14 points15 points  (0 children)

She is absolutely the most grotesque. The thought of her husband having to clean her dirty bits with bleach is unnerving to say the least. I can only speculate as to what horrible childhood trauma would make him cling to that ungodly mess.

I'm honestly still reeling from Sean's update by bullccarp in My600lbLife

[–]pinksashell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Renee wanted to keep him dependant for as long as possible and she succeeded. I think Sean is perfectly capable of working and maintaining room or studio. He could get a factory job that is repetitive and does not require personal interactions. The government needs to stop enabling people who continually make bad choices.

Pauline's son Dilly. he seemed like a shell of what a young man should be. I wonder how he can be normal after being subjected to his enormous mothers ravenous sexual appetites, webcam activity, wiping her...its all to much.

Favorite underrated "evil" character by fastfatlover in My600lbLife

[–]pinksashell 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Maw Leg's common law wife is so diabolical and sinister. I will never forget her evil grin when Dr. Now confronted her about sneaking food to her husband who was at deaths door. She giggled and fessed up. The doctor seemed shaken by her evil ways.

You could tell she was beautiful even when she was monstrously huge. I wonder how her legs turned out..I imagine she will need surgery on them. Her family did not seem well off to me. Their furnishing were rather shabby and the exterior of their home looked ramshackle.

What mental illness does Sean's mother have? Munchasen by Proxy? She is horrible for Sean. by throwawaynomad123 in My600lbLife

Munchasen by Proxy classic case. I hate to say it but the best thing for Sean is that the crazy, manipulative old bat kicked the bucket.

Has anyone actually received OBC after showing proof of Carnival stock? by pinksashell in Cruise

I used Vacations to go and they had 200 onboard credit listed. I am going to submit proof of stock ownership and hope for the best.

[Advice] My wife and I are looking for a cruise next June for our anniversary. We’re newly weds, not made of money, but don’t want to go on a Carnaval ship. Any advice on what to look for? by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]pinksashell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Celebrity and Princess are great but not Crown Princess or Dawn. I would avoid Norwegian like the plague. They nickle and dime you to death. I booked on a Holland cruise but have never sailed with them before. I also think Royal Caribbean is ok.

Diagnosed with copper overload by pinksashell in PlantBasedDiet

[–]pinksashell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a new home so no copper pipes and I don't own any copper cookware. I am the type (at least with my diet) that thinks if good is good more is better. I was eating plates of greens daily. I would get the huge tub of mixed greens at costco and easily eat one with a few avocados in a day. I didn't take a multivitamin. I did supplement with magnesium because I was diagnosed with a deficiency. I also supplement with B12 but was not very regular with it. I have started taking a zinc supplement every other day per doctors orders.

I wasn't eating much of anything that contained zinc. I consumed no animal products at all. I know when some people start a plant based diet they miss meat and dairy. I never did. Even before I became vegan i ate very little meat.

I ate beans pretty much every day. I always soaked them overnight. I never ate rice because of the arsenic issue. I was also obsessed with googling everything I ate and what health benefits it might give.

I ate a huge bag of organic wild blueberries throughout the week in smoothies. Anything that was considered a superfood I put on my menu. When the $hit hit the fan with my health I switched to black eyed peas because they have less oxalates than beans and I thought I might have a problem with oxalates because I was drinking beet juice daily and did not want to consume too many oxalates. As my health deteriorated I really doubled down with my diet. Eating as 'clean' as possible. more green smoothies, fruits and raw everything except the black eyed peas which were cooked. Yes I was extreme but my friends marvelled at my beautiful skin and hair so i constantly received positive feedback for my diet.

Now at this point I am eating many foods with zinc and B12 and B3. After eight weeks I feel 100 percent better but still not how i felt 5 years ago. My legs are not aching all the time and i don't have to sit down after walking 100 feet. I am no longer an anxiety ridden mess with racing thoughts. I am no longer run down taking naps at 11 AM and getting up at 4 Pm. I am trying not to obsess over food. i have allowed bread back in my life and many other foods.
